Walt Disney Imagineering‘s new show to go on a US tour

Walt Disney Imagineering has teamed up with the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis to launch a travelling exhibition that extends Princess Tiana’s story.

The immersive exhibition, titled Tiana’s Joyful Celebration, will kick off on 7 March 2026 at the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis.

From 2027, it will travel to another 12 cities in the US on a nationwide tour.

The exhibition comes after the launch of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, inspired by The Princess and the Frog, at Walt Disney World and Disneyland last year.

Like the Disney parks ride, the exhibition will take guests on a journey where they “discover a series of fun, interactive, multi-sensory experiences inspired by the music, food and people of New Orleans”, Disney said in a blog post.

In the exhibition, Princess Tiana is celebrating her community by throwing a parade with her friends, including critters.

However, when the big day arrives, Tiana’s friends need some help to put the finishing touches on their parade floats.

Guests will receive a call for assistance, learning that Tiana needs help with the decor, music, food, costumes and more.

“Everyone must come together and contribute their unique talents – a bit of their special spice – to pull the parade together on time,” Disney said.

The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis is the world’s largest children’s museum, offering 485,000 square feet of public space, including five floors of indoor exhibits.

Its most popular exhibit includes a collection of real dinosaur fossils and an active working paleontology lab.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opened at Disney World in Florida last summer. It opened at Disneyland in California in November.

Set a year after the events of the film, the new attraction follows Tiana and Naveen as they bring their community together for a Mardi Gras celebration. Riders join Tiana and Louis in search of band members to play at the event.

The ride features dozens of audio-animatronics figures, a new soundtrack with music from the film and new compositions, and an exhilarating 50-foot drop.
