New event is inspired by Pop Mart‘s viral plush toys

Area15 in Las Vegas is offering a Labubu-themed rave this weekend for fans of the collectible dolls by Chinese toy maker Pop Mart.

The Labubu Rave at Area15 is described as “a whimsical world of color and music” and “a vibrant and energetic event where art and music collide in the most mesmerizing way possible”.

“Let the beats guide you through a night of pure euphoria and celebration, as you dance among like-minded individuals in a kaleidoscope of creativity and joy,” Area15 says on the event page.

“It’s dumb! Come have fun!”

The Labubu Rave takes place tomorrow (1 August) in The Portal at Area15. It is available for guests aged 18 and over.

Launched in 2015, Labubu plush toys have become a major trend in recent years, so much so that Pop Mart pulled the viral dolls from all UK stores following reports of customers fighting over them.

In a recent Instagram post, Area15 said: “It’s time to rage with your friends and your fav little plushie.”

“Bring your Labubu, bring your besties, and get ready for a night of pure joy,” it added.

Area15 is known for its unique entertainment offering. Last year, it put on a surreal Teletubbies-themed rave, also known as a “tubby takeover”.

The event was described as “a nostalgic blast from the past as Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa, and Po take you on a vibrant journey filled with hypnotic beats and dazzling visuals”.

Area15 is getting ready to launch its expansion in August. The first attraction to open as part of the project is Universal Horror Unleashed, which welcomes guests from 14 August.

Through the end of 2025 and into next year, Area15 will debut other experiences, including a multi-use venue in a transformed Boeing 747, the largest-ever Museum of Ice Cream, and Interstellar Arc by Felix & Paul Studios.
