Disney World has set a closing date for its Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, which is being transformed into a Muppets-themed attraction.
In summer 2026, the coaster at Disney's Hollywood Studios will reopen as the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets.
Disney World has confirmed on its website that the "last day of operation for Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith will be March 1, 2026".

Entertainment Weekly recently reported that the preshow video featuring an Aerosmith recording session has already been removed from the ride so that construction work can start.
The new preshow video will feature Kermit, Scooter, the penguin animatronics from the former Muppet*Vision 3D show, and the Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem band.
As for the ride experience, guests will take a trip across Hollywood as they search for Electric Mayhem and listen to the group's iconic hits ahead of a concert.
New Muppets coaster to open in 2026
"We know so many of you share our love for the Muppets and know their energy will be a perfect fit for this coaster," Disney said in a previous blog post.
"Plus, as the first Disney ride ever to feature the Muppets, there’s sure to be laughter, screams and new tunes for this attraction for fans to enjoy throughout the adventure and plenty of Muppets-themed merchandise on Sunset Boulevard."
Earlier this year, Muppet*Vision 3D at Disney's Hollywood Studios closed to make room for the park's new Monsters, Inc. land.

The land will house Disney’s first-ever suspended coaster, which will recreate the door vault scene from the film.
In addition to being Disney's first suspended coaster, the new ride features the first-ever vertical lift in a Disney park.
