News
Cosm Summer Showcase at Hollywood Park venue

Cosm, a global technology company that builds end-to-end solutions for immersive experiences, has opened ticket sales for its Summer Showcase of Shared Reality sports, entertainment, and art productions. The event will take place at the firm’s 65,000-square-foot experiential venue in Hollywood Park, Los Angeles.

Cosm’s inaugural fan-facing venue sits next to SoFi Stadium in the centre of the global sports and entertainment capital. Its 87-foot diameter 12K+ LED dome combines cutting-edge visuals and the excitement to immerse fans in category-defining Shared Reality experiences. Audiences will feel like they have a front-row seat at the most highly-anticipated events in the world.

Tickets are available from Cosm’s website and app.

Sports, entertainment & art

On Saturday 27 July, visitors will be able to experience a live presentation of UFC 304: Edwards vs. Muhammad 2 in Shared Reality. Cosm’s huge LED dome will offer fans in Los Angeles the experience of being right next to the Octagon at the fight in Manchester, UK.

Tickets for a never-before-seen Shared Reality experience of Cirque du Soleil’s aquatic classic  O are available under the entertainment category. O is the most successful performance in Cirque du Soleil’s history and has played to more than 19 million people in its 25-year run. It is still a crowd favourite and can be seen live at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.

Cosm’s audiences will be able to see the Cirque du Soleil performance from previously unseen vantage points, while surrounded by acrobatics, artistry, and surreal sequences. Visitors will experience every sight, sound, and detail of O in the first entirely digital and immersive production from Cirque du Soleil. Showings will take place on 28 July and selected dates in August.

In addition, Cosm has announced that it will present works from acclaimed new media artists, Cosm Studios Creators Program members Nancy Baker Cahill, Ricardo Romaneiro, and Guy Reid (Planetary Collective). The artists will showcase their projects for Shared Reality and Cosm’s innovative experience technology platform.

Designed to break down the boundaries between viewer, lens, and film content, Baker-Cahill’s immersive visual narrative SEEK will have a private premiere on 18 July with ticketed showings in July and August. The visual journey explores a series of bespoke abstract landscapes, including water, sand and wind, fire, and forest, each layered with carefully camouflaged visuals and audio.

Romaneiro’s LIQUIDVERSE: Microcosm & Macrocosm audiovisual symphony sends visitors on a unique sensory journey into and beyond the universe’s beginnings that combines orchestral music with vivid liquid visuals. The experience will debut on 12 July with a private event which will include a live orchestra. This will be followed by ticketed showings during July and beyond.

Planetary Collective’s latest film Orbital, directed by Guy Reid, takes viewers on a hyper-real, animated voyage to the edge of the galaxy. Visitors are transported by dynamic visual and narrative mechanics, accompanied by authentic stories of astronauts who have experienced the wonder of looking back at Earth from space. Orbital premieres at Cosm on 17 July with a private event. Further ticketed showings are planned throughout the summer.

August will see the venue move into its standard hours and event frequency as additional programming accelerates. Cosm is set to launch ticketed events for Shared Reality presentations of US Open tennis, NCAA college football and Premier League football matches, and on-sale dates will be released soon.

Earlier this year, Cosm announced that its first venue will officially open to the public on 29 June. The venue will open with a live Shared Reality production of UFC 303, providing fans with an unparalleled all-access, Octagon-side experience.
