Company showcases slimmer kiosk alongside new customer help centre and breakaway game cards

Embed, a leading worldwide supplier of point-of-sale and revenue management systems, is showcasing its latest innovation at IAAPA Expo 2021, held in Orlando, Florida, from 16 – 19 November.

The last time the industry gathered in person at IAAPA Expo, Embed made waves by unveiling its Mobile Wallet and two years later, this is still the only non-banking, finance-payment of loyalty card business and brand card to sit in the consumers’ Google Pay of Apple Wallet. Now, following two years in development, it is demonstrating its cutting-edge new self-service KIOSK+.

This features one of the sector’s biggest touchscreen displays, alongside a streamlined design and expandable modularity.

Streamlined self-service kiosk

KIOSK+ has a smaller footprint than other self-serve kiosks in the industry, meaning that it does not take up space on the floor that could otherwise be given over to revenue-generating games. In addition to this, it features a removable screen and base for extra flexibility. The monitor can become a wall-mounted top-up and reload station, or mounted on a pillar in the centre of the games room.

The kiosk is simple to upgrade with extra game card dispensers or other hardware modules, so it can grow as the business expands. Its 27-inch screen is highly responsive and the system includes fast and responsive software for a frictionless visitor experience.

This new product from Embed is available in a number of different configurations, to suit smaller and growing operators, larger venues and even unmanned game areas. The emONE+ is the next generation of the company’s emONE self-installing service kiosk with built-in server. This features credit card and cash & coin transaction modes, an 800-game card dispenser capacity, and now the KIOSK+ slimline design too.

Meanwhile, the KIOSK+ single card dispenser configuration holds 400 game cards, or the dual card version carries 800. Both have either credit card or cash and coin options.

In addition, operators can personalise the KIOSK+ by using their own branding and messaging on the base.

Maximising the game room floor

“Embed aims to enable, empower, and ease the Business of Fun, transforming it with our technology innovation,” says Renee Welsh, CEO, Embed.

“We have a clear vision of the FEC of the future, and KIOSK+ is a product that will transform what FECs are willing to accept from their business solutions providers; no more space-consuming bulky kiosks. Business solutions should enable operators to optimise the consumer experience while driving greater revenue and profit per square foot, which is the design purpose of KIOSK+.

“We are excited to help operators maximise their game room floor with revenue-generating games, lower their costs, and achieve their business goals through this innovation.”

Embed has also announced an exclusive IAAPA promotion, meaning that operators can benefit from the new product at 10% off, until 15 December 2021.

Customer Help Centre & new wearables

As well as announcing KIOSK+, the company has also revealed details of its new Customer Help Centre, a smart knowledge base that allows its customers to access relevant data and maximise the features of their Embed system.

The Customer Help Centre includes the company’s new customer Welcome Pack, featuring nearly 500 articles and guides, as well as 50 help videos and training tutorials, and is powered by Zendesk, a leader in online web support.

Finally, Embed has also built on its wearable media offer with the introduction of the Breakaway game card. This features a section that can be snapped off from the main card and then worn with a band or reusable toggle. Operators can use their existing Embed kiosk dispenser to issue the new Breakaway game card and can place a container with the strap and reusable toggle next to the kiosk.

The Embed team is at booth #606 and will be showcasing the KIOSK+, Mobile Wallet, TOOLKIT and more. It will also be giving away freebies as well as hosting a daily happy hour from 2 until 6 pm. Attendees can book a meeting here for the full red carpet experience.

Last month Embed also announced that it has provided its integrated cashless solutions to Planet Royale, a brand new multi-venue entertainment hub in Perth, Australia, which opened to the public this August.
