Seven is spending more than $13 billion on 21 entertainment destinations in Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Entertainment Ventures (Seven) has announced plans to develop and operate the world’s first Transformers-themed indoor entertainment centres in Saudi Arabia.

Seven, a subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund (PIF), will launch three Transformers attractions in the kingdom. The first of these will open in the company’s upcoming entertainment destination in Al Hamra, Riyadh.

Seven is working with Hasbro on the new Transformers venues. The group has also partnered with Hasbro to create the world’s first Play-Doh attractions in Saudi.

The 10,000-square-metre facilities will feature state-of-the-art rides and immersive environments, as well as branded retail, exclusive merchandise, and themed F&B.

“We are delighted to once again be partnering with Hasbro to bring this iconic brand to the kingdom,” said Abdullah Al-Dawood, chairman of Seven.

He added: “We continue to cement our position as the national champion of the kingdom’s entertainment sector, strengthening the entertainment ecosystem with our strategic partnerships to bring a wide range of attractions for the people of Saudi Arabia to enjoy.”

Saudi Arabia’s attractions sector is rapidly growing as part of the PIF’s Vision 2030. Seven is investing more than $13 billion to build 21 entertainment destinations in 14 cities in the country.

For its new destinations, Seven is collaborating with companies including Mattel, Clip ‘n Climb and Warner Bros. Discovery.

“We’re sure that these new immersive attractions will entertain and delight generations of fans and families for many years to come.”

Saudi’s Al Hokair Group is also working with Hasbro to launch a unique family entertainment centre (FEC) concept called Playocity in the kingdom.

Meanwhile, Haichang Ocean Park is collaborating with Saudi’s investment ministry to develop theme parks and other LBE experiences across the country.
