Zero Latency, a global leader in VR entertainment, has unveiled “Threat: Lethal”, a new game mode for the Space Marine VR – Defenders of Avarax experience.

This challenging new release, which immerses players in an intense battle against an unrelenting alien enemy, reimagines the landscape of VR combat.

“Zenith of immersive VR warfare”

Space Marine VR: Defenders of Avarax, launched in September 2024 and has quickly become Zero Latency’s signature experience. The award-winning game immerses players in a Hive City where they must use advanced technology to fight off the alien Tyranids. The new Threat: Lethal mode includes a new twist where players must revive their teammates to progress, making teamwork crucial to victory.

In this highly strategic game mode, players will also need to avoid friendly fire, and control crowds with newly added weapons. Every time a team fails, the level is reset and players are offered a new chance to refine their tactics and teamwork. As the team progresses through the checkpoints the battle becomes more intense, and only the most united teams will succeed.

Tim Ruse, CEO of Zero Latency VR, says: “Threat: Lethal isn’t merely a game – it’s a proving ground for the elite. It stands as our toughest and most competitive game mode to date, crafted to provide a pulse-pounding, intense experience. It challenges your true grit with more enemies than ever before and a real risk of defeat, so each encounter is thrillingly unique.

“Faced with cunning adversaries, strategic play, and critical team interactions, it represents the zenith of immersive VR warfare.”

Space Marine VR – Threat: Lethal will be available at Zero Latency VR venues across the world from 12 March.

In December, Zero Latency released “Slay Season”, a brand-new holiday-themed mode for its popular zombie survival game, Outbreak.

Players encountered never-seen-before seasonal horrors in this exclusive version of the classic adventure, which featured Santa-clad zombies, snow-dusted battlefields, and the ideal amount of holiday chaos. Fans who had already completed Outbreak could enjoy a reimagined experience with a holiday twist.
