New hotel is the first to be located inside the theme park

Dutch fairytale theme park Efteling has shared a first look at the interior of its new luxury hotel, the Efteling Grand Hotel, opening this summer.

The first hotel to be located inside the walls of the park will provide a unique experience that combines luxury, storytelling and Efteling’s signature fairytale charm.

The seven-floor property has 140 rooms and suites inspired by Efteling’s heritage, and also offers a luxury shopping destination, a spa and swimming pool, and F&B outlets. These include Brasserie 7 and Restaurant-Bar Mystique.

Brasserie 7 will serve classics with seven magical ingredients, such as “dragon’s breath and fairy dust”, while Restaurant-Bar Mystique offers “an evening of discovery of flavours”, Efteling said in a press release.

Additionally, at the entrance to the hotel is the lobby and Café Biscuit coffee bar.

The new hotel‘s rooms and suites feature four different colour themes and overlook the Fairytale Forest, Aquanura, the House of the Five Senses (the entrance) or the Pardoes Promenade.

Nicole Scheffers, Efteling’s director of park and resorts, said last year: “We have worked very hard behind the scenes and I am proud that our guests can finally see how special the Efteling Grand Hotel is going to be.”

Efteling Grand Hotel opens this summer

Efteling has also temporarily closed the Efteling Hotel for renovation. This will reopen later this year as the Efteling Wonder Hotel.

“With the opening of the Efteling Grand Hotel in 2025 on the horizon, we wanted to position our very first hotel even more clearly,” said Scheffers.

“The Efteling Wonder Hotel stands out from our other overnight stay locations through strong theming. The hotel, with its boundless wonder, is our very own floating castle of fairytales.”

In more news, Efteling recently debuted its updated Aquanura water show, which has been transformed as part of the park’s sustainability goals.
