Legoland Florida is kicking off its 10th birthday celebrations on October 15 with the opening of The Legoland Story, as well as the return of fireworks at Brick or Treat and shade structures at Miniland.
The Legoland Story, opening on October 15, will immerse visitors in Lego history. Guests will learn how Legoland theme parks were built, brick by brick.
Lego history is brought to life through immersive displays in the walkthrough experience, which features an original ride vehicle from Cypress Gardens’ Triple Hurricane and an interactive Minifigure trading wall.
The Legoland Story features colourful graphics that illustrate chapters in the company’s history, including the first Lego toy ever created and the original Minifigure.

In addition, Legoland Coffee Co. is opening. The new café will serve flash-chilled iced coffee and breakfast items such as croissant sandwiches, frittata wraps and quiche cups.
Starting on October 15 is Legoland Florida‘s brick-tastic birthday bash, featuring surprise character appearances, pop-up entertainment, and the biggest Lego birthday cake ever created.
Legoland Florida is paying homage to its popular Granny’s Apple Fries dessert with the launch of the Apple Fries Cupcake, only available at Granny’s Apple Fries on October 15.
Miniland is also reopening on October 15 following a transformation project that includes new shade structures. Additionally, Brick or Treat is taking place through October on Saturdays and Sundays.
The Legoland Story launches October 15
The Halloween event at Legoland Florida features classic Lego monster characters, Halloween shows, and trick-or-treating across the park.
Last month, Merlin Entertainments started construction of the world’s largest Legoland Resort, a $1bn Lego-themed attraction in Shenzhen, China.
Nick Varney, chief executive of Merlin, said Legoland Shenzhen Resort will be a “must-see destination for millions of families looking to experience the magic of Lego in China”.
“We have already had great success with our immersive Legoland attractions around the world and look forward to working with our partners to make the Shenzhen resort a reality,” he added.
