Holovis, a leader in the creation of multi-sensory immersive experiences, has secured a multi-million minority investment in the company by Hong Kong listed corporation, Road King Investment and Asset Management Group Limited.

This injection of funding from Road King will hasten the UK company’s expansion plans, particularly in the Far East.

“With Road King’s backing, we will accelerate our development of immersive, mixed reality solutions, tailored to specific market applications in the enterprise, entertainment, museum and simulation sectors,” explained Holovis CEO, Stuart Hetherington.

This includes the roll-out of its Extended-Experience augmented and mixed reality technology platform.

“We will also be deepening and extending our innovation pipeline, bringing new and exciting products to market in the next 12 months,” confirmed Hetherington.

Road King investment will kickstart significant expansion

“With our new partner investor, our Far East operation will also significantly expand across all market sectors, as well as integrating Holovis experiences into Road King’s existing and new real estate projects they own and operate across China,” he added.

Road King is actively investing in specialist technology companies such as Holovis to work alongside other complimentary businesses within their portfolio. This multidisciplinary approach aims to deepen and expand the company’s offering across China.

“This partnership with Holovis, along with our other technology investments, brings a unique capability to Road King’s vision and strategy in designing and building the next-generation of visitor attractions and public venue experiences in the Far East,” commented William Zen, Chairman of Road King.

“This investment also supports and underpins Holovis and Road King’s plans to expand into the Chinese enterprise and simulation markets, which are both showing strong year-on-year growth opportunities.”

Established in 2004, Holovis currently employs 110 staff members. With its head office in central UK, the company operates innovation centres in London, Shanghai and Orlando.

Recent projects include the Panem Aerial Tour in the Lionsgate Zone at MOTIONGATE™ Dubai.
