Six Flags Over Texas has announced an opening date for its new DC-inspired Aquaman: Power Wave water coaster.
Manufactured by Mack Rides, Aquaman: Power Wave will be the park’s 14th coaster when it opens on 11 March 2023.
Six Flags describes the new attraction as a launch-style coaster that suspends riders in a 90-degree angle before sending them across more than 700 feet of track at 63 miles per hour towards a massive splash.
“Six Flags Over Texas is known for providing innovative thrills and delivering the special moments that create fond family memories,” said Richard Douaihy, Six Flags Over Texas’ park president.

Elsewhere, Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio previously unveiled its new and upgraded attractions, including the world’s first single-rail racing coaster and an esports offering.
Opened in 1961, Six Flags Over Texas is home to more than 100 rides, shows and attractions across 10 themed areas. These include world-class coasters such as New Texas Giant and Titan.
In 2019, the park opened the world’s largest loop coaster, El Diablo.
