The Turtle Coaster at the park in Antalya, Turkey, is a vibrant addition to its expansion

Creative Studio Berlin, the experiential design firm founded by Chris Lange, is celebrating the opening of the new Turtle Coaster at The Land of Legends in Antalya, Turkey. This water coaster is the newest addition to The Land of Legends, and its innovative design integrates art installations with the ride for a colourful, fun-filled experience.

The coasters’ colourful palette extends throughout the new Tropic Lagoon, which features murals, art sculptures, and installations to create a memorable addition to the park’s expansion.

Art meets water coaster

The Turtle Coaster is a unique, four-person RocketBLAST/FlyingSAUCER water coaster from ProSlide. At over 434 meters long, the ride is the longest of its type. It also features four flying saucer features, low-to-grade boosters, and twisting turns.

Chris Lange, creative executive and owner of Creative Studio Berlin, was responsible for the design of the project. He has previously worked with ProSlide on the highly-themed Rulantica Waterpark at Europa-Park.

Lange says: “The vibrant rainbow-color scheme draws all the attention to the new Turtle Coaster. The combination of art and waterslide works so well. This marks another successful collaboration with ProSlide Technology, Inc. It started with the many masterplan studies and the challenging integration of the new RocketBLAST water coaster slide into the existing water park to the flexibility to deliver the multicolors we wanted.”

The design has revitalised the look and feel of parts of The Secret Lagoon, which has been repositioned as the Tropic Lagoon. The new aesthetic, with the vibrant Turtle Coaster as its central feature, creates greater cohesion and excitement.

Creative Studio Berlin recently celebrated the launch of the Deutschlandmuseum in Berlin, which opened to visitors on 17 June. The firm created an hour-long, immersive experience which explores 2,000 years of German history, from the uprising of Germanic tribes against the Romans in 9 AD to the country’s World Cup in 2006.
