ProSlide Technology Inc., an industry leader in water ride manufacturing and design, has announced a new partnership with Chimelong Water Park, the world’s most visited water park. Slated to open in spring 2025 in Guangzhou, China, this expansion will incorporate ProSlide’s cutting-edge technology and latest innovations. This initiative underscores the dedication of both ProSlide and Chimelong to enhancing the guest experience at water parks while reinforcing Chimelong’s position as a premier water destination in China and globally.
The initial complex introduces the world’s first Launched HydroMAGNETIC LIM Mammoth Water Coaster. ProSlide’s HydroMAGNETIC technology represents the most advanced raft propulsion system globally and is utilised in top water parks such as Holiday World, Universal’s Volcano Bay, and Everland Caribbean Bay.
The second complex anchors Chimelong’s redesigned entrance pavilion. Upon entering the water park, guests will see striking views created by the two water rides dominating the area. The first, a massive Double TORNADO 60, makes Chimelong the world’s first water park to feature three TORNADO 60s. The second raft ride introduces new water ride technology that ProSlide will showcase at the upcoming IAAPA Expo in Orlando.
A long-standing relationship
ProSlide and Chimelong have collaborated on numerous industry-leading projects, such as the two IAAPA Impact Award winners: the ProSlide TORNADO (2007) and the ProSlide BehemothBOWL (2008).
Since its launch in 2007, Chimelong Water Park has drawn more than 2.5 million visitors yearly and has become the largest water park in China. Adjacent to the well-known Chimelong Paradise amusement park, it has established itself as a leader in innovative water-based entertainment.
This recent expansion signifies more than merely adding new rides; it showcases the joint commitment of ProSlide and Chimelong to enhance the water park experience, establishing new benchmarks in innovation and excitement.
Last month, ProSlide celebrated the induction of its president and CEO, Rick Hunter, into the IAAPA Hall of Fame. This accolade reflects Hunter and the ProSlide team’s significant contributions to the water park sector, which continue to uphold the firm’s almost 45-year tradition of innovation, dedication, and leadership.
