Felix & Paul Studios, a leader and pioneer in creating and producing virtual, augmented, and mixed-reality experiences, has launched Space Explorers: Ultimate Edition, a major upgrade to its immersive space exploration app.

The company, known for Space Explorers, the largest immersive production filmed in space, is now bringing audiences even closer to the excitement of space exploration.

The new edition of its app features stunning 8K visuals, an exclusive Artemis chapter, and immersive mixed reality interactions.

Deeper, more immersive experience

The launch of Space Explorers: Ultimate Edition on Meta Quest 3 and Quest 3S coincides with the celebration of 25 continuous years of human presence aboard the International Space Station.

This edition marks a new era for Space Explorers: Legacy, with enhanced visuals, improved performance, and more interactive elements that deliver a richer, more immersive experience of human spaceflight.

The update features:

  • Expanded mixed reality component. Users can position and engage with 3D artefacts from Earth, the Moon, and the ISS within their physical environment.
  • New exclusive chapter. Mission to the Moon documents NASA’s Artemis programme and the historic return of humans to the Moon.
  • Optimised 8K visuals. Offering a more realistic and spectacular depiction of space environments, particularly on the latest-generation headsets.
  • Redesigned navigation system. Hands-only gesture controls offer a more natural, controller-free interaction.

This release builds on the successes of Space Explorers: The ISS Experience, which was filmed on board the International Space Station in partnership with TIME Studios, continuing over a decade of collaboration with NASA.
With this update, Felix & Paul Studios continues its mission to celebrate humanity’s past and future in space and bring audiences closer to the story of human space exploration through cinematic storytelling, cutting-edge technology, and emotional immersion.
Last month, Felix & Paul Studios announced the opening of its new immersive experience, Interstellar Arc, which is showing exclusively at AREA15 in Las Vegas. Blending cinematic storytelling with advanced immersive technology, the attraction takes guests on a poignant journey into humanity’s future among the stars.
