Miral

Miral, formally Miral Asset Management LLC, is a Private Limited Company based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Miral translates as ‘gazelle’ and was chosen to symbolise the firm’s agility. The firm is led by chairman H.E. Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, and CEO Mohamed Abdallah Al Zaabi.

Established in May 2011, Miral has been a leading organisation in the development of Abu Dhabi’s leisure and entertainment sector,

The company is notable for a number of top theme parks in the region including Ferrari World (2010), Yas Waterworld (2013) and Warner Bros. World (2018), all located near Abu Dhabi.

Ferrari World was the world’s first Ferrari-branded theme park, home to the world’s fast rollercoaster Formula Rossa, as well as technologically advanced simulators and premium retail and dining.

Miral’s Yas Waterworld, described as “the UAE’s first mega water park”, is found on Yas Island. The park comprises over 40 rides attractions and is designed to celebrate the area’s rich pearl-hunting heritage.

Warner. Bros World is a Guinness World Record-breaking indoor theme park, featuring attractions based on family franchises such as DC Comics, Looney Tunes, and Hanna-Barbera, with series including Bugs Bunny, Scooby-Doo and Batman. The park is home to the world’s first Warner Bros.-licensed hotel.

Miral’s SeaWorld Abu Dhabi was scheduled to open in 2022 and will incorporate the first dedicated marine life research, rescue, rehabilitation and return centre in the UAE. Species will be housed in purpose-built habitats and environments. There is a notable exclusion of Orcas, which have historically been found at other SeaWorld locations.

A major project for Miral is Yas Island, a specially designed destination for leisure and cultural landmarks such as these theme parks. Located near Abu Dhabi International Airport, the site features a selection of luxury hotels, restaurants and the largest shopping mall in Abu Dhabi.

Notable future projects include Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi, which will be home to some of the rarest specimens on earth, including a $32m Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton.
