Smeetz, a provider of smart all-in-one ticketing software for leisure and cultural attractions, and Edeis, a leading group with expertise in engineering, ports, airports, and culture and tourism, have entered into a strategic partnership. This seeks to enhance the ticketing operations at the cultural and heritage sites Edeis manages in France.
This collaboration brings a cohesive, advanced ticketing solution to acclaimed venues such as the Arènes de Nîmes, the Théâtre Antique d’Orange, and the Petit Train de la Mure. The solution launched in March and represents a significant advancement in visitor experience and operational efficiency.
Integrated platform
After a rigorous tender process, Edeis chose to centralise its online and in-person ticketing operations across its locations using Smeetz’s cutting-edge unified commerce platform. This replaces fragmented legacy systems with a data-driven, streamlined approach, bringing together ticket sales, subscriptions, and visitor management into a single, integrated platform.
Amandine Blier, director of communications and cultural development at Edeis Group, says: “This partnership with Smeetz is fully aligned with Edeis’ vision of modernizing our cultural sites through innovative solutions. With this new platform, we are overcoming the limitations of our previous ticketing system while elevating the visitor experience — particularly at the Arènes de Nîmes and the Théâtre Antique d’Orange.
“This digital transformation allows us to combine operational excellence with innovation, further strengthening our commitment to making heritage vibrant and accessible.”
“Edeis manages some of the most prestigious cultural sites in France, and we are honored to support their digital transformation,” says Alexandre Martin, CEO of Smeetz. “Our platform will not only simplify operations but also deliver powerful insights to drive growth and enhance the visitor experience at these exceptional sites.”
In addition to ticketing, the partnership will enable Edeis to centralise its operations across numerous sites, to optimise resources, enhance reporting, and provide an improved booking experience that meets the expectations of today’s guests.
Jorge Lopes, co-head of sales at Smeetz, says: “The sites managed by Edeis are not just attractions — they are living fragments of history. This project is about more than technological innovation; it’s about ensuring that the ticketing experience matches the global prestige of these landmarks. We are proud to contribute to such a significant transformation.”
A structured support system will enable a seamless transition for Edeis’ teams and visitors.
Famous landmarks
The collaboration will elevate the ticketing experience for guests at some of the most iconic cultural landmarks in France, including:
- Arènes de Nîmes. One of the best-preserved Roman amphitheatres which hosts internationally acclaimed concerts and historical reenactments.
- Théâtre Antique d’Orange. A UNESCO World Heritage site known for the Chorégies opera festival.
- Le Train de la Mure. A spectacular journey through the Alps, combining heritage and beautiful landscapes.
Earlier this year, Smeetz announced a long-term partnership with Kynren to provide a cutting-edge, comprehensive commerce solution for Kynren – The Storied Lands, a brand-new theme park set to launch in the summer of 2026, pending final planning approval.
