Vintia, a specialist in innovative all-in-one ticketing and booking systems, has provided a unified ticketing and planning solution for Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte, a historic French estate in Maincy, France.

The Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte, situated on a 500-hectare estate just outside Paris, is a historic landmark that attracts over 330,000 visitors annually. With a legacy spanning five generations, the estate offers tours, events, weddings, dining, and retail experiences. Managing these needed a unified system to streamline operations and improve the visitor experience.

Seeking an all-in-one solution, Vaux-le-Vicomte’s team chose Vintia to integrate ticketing, event planning, retail, and hospitality. Their aim was to create a unified platform that manages everyday operations and enables future growth.

“With Vintia, we found a complete solution that met all our needs,” says Jean-Charles de Vogüé, owner and commercial director, Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte. “There was a real sense of collaboration between our teams and theirs, working together to improve and tailor the system to our operations.”

A single, unified solution

The 17th-century estate hosts a wide range of activities, including daytime and evening visits, large-scale weddings, seasonal events, on-site dining, and boutique retail. As such, managing operations had become increasingly complex.

The team used various systems for ticketing, group bookings, restaurant services, and retail, leading to disjointed workflows and a lack of integration. As the estate expanded, it became evident that a single, unified solution was necessary—one that could enhance both the visitor experience and internal processes with improved efficiency and adaptability.

Together with Vintia, the estate began a phased rollout of the Recreatex platform. The initial milestone was the successful launch of both online and on-site ticketing for the busy Christmas season, resulting in thousands of tickets being sold immediately.

The collaboration further strengthened as Vintia’s consultants worked closely with the castle’s internal teams to customise the system to their specific needs. The updated solution now handles everything from ticketing and group bookings to restaurant management, mobile sales points, and administrative processes.

Throughout, the Vintia team was ready to listen, adapt, and jointly develop features that made the system both practical and aligned with the estate’s vision.

The benefits include a centralised system that manages ticketing, group bookings, restaurant operations, and retail activities. Internal communication between departments is enhanced through the use of shared planning and reporting tools.

Visitors enjoy a faster and smoother experience thanks to streamlined booking and payment processes. The system offers a flexible setup with mobile POS capabilities for outdoor sales points. Additionally, real-time insights are available through integrated reporting and accounting features.

Earlier this year, Vintia announced the continuation of its partnership with the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. After a thorough evaluation, the museum selected Enviso as its all-in-one solution for online ticketing.
