After the successful completion of its Dallas facility in 2020, the popular competitive socialising concept Electric Shuffle has opened a new venue in Austin, Texas.
High-tech social gaming, distinctive interior design, live DJs, craft cocktails, and a choice of sharing food options are all part of the Electric Shuffle experience. The creative design reimagines the existing popularity of shuffleboard with custom-built tables and interactive technologies. The Austin location offers a total of ten shuffleboard tables, with each table accommodating between four and twenty players. The tables keep track of the score and photograph the participants.
For the new branch in Austin, the company teamed up once again with ARCO/Murray, a leading design-builder specialising in national rollouts across a wide spectrum of industries.
Electric Shuffle Austin, in addition to being a nightlife hotspot, is available for brunch on Saturdays and Sundays and can hold events for up to 250 people.
“We are thrilled to finally be opening our doors and cannot wait to show Austin what we have been working on,” shares Electric Shuffle USA CEO Gene Ball. “We love bringing groups of friends and are excited to join the epic community in downtown Austin.”
Ball features in a previous episode of ARCO/Murray’s Innovative Locations webinar series, sharing insights into the success of Electric Shuffle and discussing its plans for future expansion.
High-profile projects
Both the environment and the game were created with social media in mind. The Electric Shuffle design team created a setting that seamlessly combines science and art by integrating camera vision technology that records every puck, keeps score, and connects up to 20 individuals per table into a variety of team-based shuffleboard games.
ARCO/Murray is a nationwide design and construction firm that specialises in commercial building and real estate needs for Fortune 500 corporations and small enterprises. The company has accomplished more than $1.2 billion in projects for entertainment clients, including nationwide rollout campaigns for Topgolf, Puttshack, and iFly.
