Brogent Technologies Inc., a leading manufacturer of media-based attractions, is celebrating the opening of Niagara Takes Flight, Ontario’s first flying theatre experience, in partnership with Niagara Parks.
Situated at the iconic Table Rock Center, adjacent to Horseshoe Falls, this cutting-edge attraction is the first flying theatre located within a well-known natural wonder worldwide. It offers visitors an exciting adventure of storytelling, motion, and stunning aerial vistas.
Brogent Technologies acts as the turnkey provider for Niagara Takes Flight, integrating cutting-edge digital content creation with advanced dynamic simulation to create a next-generation themed attraction.
The 30-minute experience starts with an atmospheric pre-show narrated by Niagara-born filmmaker James Cameron, bringing a cinematic feel to the journey.
Guests then embark on a spectacular flight over the Niagara River corridor, starting from synchronised gondola-style seats in front of a large 180-degree dome screen to dynamic motion simulation. This experience takes guests over ancient rock formations, historic battle sites, and the breathtaking scenery of Niagara’s landscapes throughout all four seasons.
With wind, mist, and scent effects enhancing it, this experience offers a smooth sensory journey that combines adventure with educational storytelling, culminating in an awe-inspiring, close-up view of Horseshoe Falls.
A new perspective
“Niagara Takes Flight offers guests the extraordinary sensation of soaring above Niagara Falls, an unparalleled experience that sets this attraction apart on the global stage,” says Chih-Hung Ouyang, chairman and CEO of Brogent Technologies.
“This project merges technology and storytelling to deepen the emotional connection that people have with one of the world’s most celebrated destinations. We are proud to bring this innovation to Ontario in partnership with Niagara Parks Commission, creating an attraction that will inspire millions of visitors for years to come.”
Bob Gale, chair of Niagara Parks, adds: “From the spectacular pre-show areas to the film production itself, Niagara Takes Flight offers a new perspective and appreciation for this special place and the world-renowned environmental and cultural heritage features that Niagara Parks has been entrusted to protect since 1885.”
“Nobody’s seen Niagara Falls like this,” says Mike Quigley, director of Niagara Takes Flight. “This attraction gives visitors the chance to fly over the falls and the entire Niagara Parks system in a way that has never been possible before. It’s a celebration of Niagara in all its dimensions.”
Stefan Rothaug, director of sales and marketing at Brogent Technologies, says: “Bringing Niagara Takes Flight to life has been an incredibly rewarding experience for our entire team at Brogent. Every detail from the sweeping aerial footage to a custom orchestral score recorded with a live orchestra was crafted to make guests feel that they are flying over Niagara and part of this story.”
The official debut of Niagara Takes Flight marks an important milestone in Niagara Parks’ ongoing multi-year effort to transform Table Rock Center into a premier visitor destination. Combining innovation with storytelling, the attraction offers guests of all ages a fresh way to experience the stunning natural scenery and the area’s rich history.
Earlier this year, Brogent Technologies launched its first flying theatre in Mexico. The attraction is located at the new Aztlán Parque Urbano in Mexico City, and marks a significant advancement in both themed entertainment in the region and the company’s international growth.
