Intamin presents world’s first Ultra Surf, Georgia Gold Rusher, at Six Flags Over Georgia

News
Intamin Georgia Gold Rusher

Intamin, a creator of record-breaking amusement rides, is celebrating the latest ride to open at Six Flags Over Georgia, Georgia Gold Rusher, which is the world’s first Intamin Ultra Surf. It guarantees an exceptional experience featuring thrilling airtime and powerful launches, all within a small footprint.

Filled with weightlessness and airtime moments, this coaster is designed to create an unforgettable experience for both thrill-seekers and families.

Big thrills, small footprint

To start, this is accomplished via the airtime hill and two beyond-vertical ejector ramps, both reaching heights of 44 metres. In addition, the free-spinning, spin-triggered vehicles provide a distinctive feeling of floating and spinning through the air, ensuring each ride feels uniquely different from the last, contributing to a highly re-rideable experience.

Featuring a shuttle-style coaster design within a small area, riders can experience up to 600 meters of track on only 180 meters of physical layout.

Additionally, Ultra Surf features Intamin’s advanced water-cooled LSM launch system, the most powerful on the market. This allows vehicles to achieve speeds of up to 95 km/h, providing strong acceleration right from the start. Moreover, the ride’s smoothness is improved by a broader and simpler track design, which needs less supporting structure.

The vehicles include the comfortable and popular Intamin over-the-shoulder lap bar, providing optimal freedom and comfort, and it has a capacity of 20 riders at a time. Finally, the ride’s design is elevated by a water effect that interacts with the ride, resulting in a spectacular splashdown for both riders and onlookers.

Intamin thanks Six Flags Over Georgia and Six Flags Entertainment Corporation for their trust and partnership.

Last year, Intamin launched two new products at IAAPA Expo 2024 in Orlando, Florida: the Family LSM Coaster and Dome Ride 40. The new rides were revealed during a YouTube live stream, alongside a roundup of the company’s achievements and milestones in 2024.
