Zamperla, a leading ride manufacturer, partnered with Aztlán Parque Urbano, a brand new attraction in Mexico City which opened to the public on 21 March 2024.
With its 9000 rides in parks worldwide and a history of almost 60 years, Zamperla is known for its dependability and performance in the entertainment sector. The attractions that it has provided at this new location include a collection of popular rides for all age groups, such as the Jumpin Star, Samba Tower, Happy Swing, Midi Tea Cup, Jump Around, Air Race 6.4, and Mini Jet. Plus, thrill seekers will enjoy the Discovery Revolution ride, coming soon.
A new entertainment park for all ages
Aztlán Parque Urbano embraces Mexican culture and offers guests an immersive experience, celebrating its role in Mexico City’s heritage.
The operator says: “Aztlán Parque Urbano is the new entertainment park for all ages and the most emblematic center in Mexico as it is located in the heart of the city, which seeks to entertain, promote and exalt the history and culture of Mexicans.
“Currently, the park has 16 family, extreme and children’s attractions: immersive attractions, virtual reality, skill games, souvenir shops and gastronomic variety. Soon there will be 23 attractions, the presence of the Foro Aztlán intended for different types of events and the Dolores Olmedo Museum that will concentrate important collections of Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo.”
Ulises Dixon, Latin America area sales manager at Zamperla adds:
“We are proud to partner with Parque Urbano Aztlán for this installation located at El Bosque de Chapultepec in Mexico City, Mexico. As we worked on the project we had two objectives. First, we created a collection of attractions that have broad appeal.
“Second, it was imperative to create an experience that exalts Mexico City’s culture and tradition. It is here that the collaboration between Aztlán’s design team and Zamperla’s art department began. The result of this partnership between our teams created a wonder-filled experience for guests while celebrating Mexico City’s history and culture.
“The Aztlán team has done a great job during the creative process imagining thematic concepts and our team excelled at integrating these ideas into our rides. The local visitors will love the theming, which has one foot in Mexico’s past with another firmly planted in the future.”
Safety and excitement
Zamperla is widely recognised in the industry for its extensive track record of dependability, innovation, and commitment to safety.
“For almost sixty years, we have been working to create attractions that bring joy to amusement parks worldwide. Safety is our starting point, the number one prerequisite, through which we can bring fun and provide smiles to people of all ages,” says Vittorio Babini, Zamperla’s engineering director.
This launch signifies an exciting phase in Aztlán Parque Urbano’s history and showcases the park’s dedication to delivering fun experiences to its visitors. Thanks to Zamperla’s expertise, Aztlán Parque Urbano offers an array of memorable adventures for all guests.
Last month, Zamperla announced that its accessible Magic Bikes ride had opened to the public at Morgan’s Wonderland.
