Paul Baker has been named the new president of Atlantis Resorts, a subsidiary of Kerzner International. He will oversee the operations of Atlantis’ sites in Dubai and China.
Baker will lead Atlantis, The Palm and Atlantis The Royal – an entertainment destination and experiential resort in Dubai respectively. Soon, he will also oversee Atlantis Sanya in China.
Baker will report to Philippe Zuber, CEO of Kerzner International. He will be in charge of all operations, strategic direction, management, and the continued growth of Atlantis in Dubai.

Baker has nearly 20 years’ experience in hospitality and entertainment. Most recently, he served as president of the Grand Lisboa Palace integrated resort in Macau. Before that, he was deputy chief operating officer of Genting Malaysia, the world’s largest luxury integrated resort.
Entertainment experiences at Atlantis
Opened in September 2008, Atlantis, The Palm is an ocean-themed resort with various marine and entertainment experiences, including the Aquaventure water park, and the Lost Chambers Aquarium.
Aquaventure houses 105 waterslides and attractions, including several world record-breaking slides and award-winning aquatic experiences.
Atlantis Sanya in Haitang Bay boasts 21 restaurants, bars and lounges. It also includes the Aquaventure water park, a Lost Chambers Aquarium, and the Dolphin Cay encounter.
