ProSlide Technology Inc., an industry leader in water ride manufacturing and design, is celebrating the launch of Tornado King at Water World Lloret de Mar, Spain.
As the first Double TornadoWAVE 60 in Europe, the milestone attraction reflects a significant investment in high-thrill, high-capacity water ride technology at the iconic water park, which is now in its 40th season.
Continuing partnership
Tornado King, created by ProSlide Technology Inc., builds on the success of the Tornado Land KIDZ zone. The land opened in 2024 and features eight bespoke children’s slides, which highlight Water World’s long-term strategy of providing differentiated ride experiences which cater to all ages, with a focus on families looking for thrills and safety.
Aaron Wilson, vice president of business development at ProSlide, says: “We’re proud to continue our strong partnership with Water World, a park renowned for its commitment to innovation and exceptional guest experiences. With a legacy of delivering standout attractions, Water World is rapidly establishing itself as a premier destination in Europe.
“In just the past two years, the park has launched a series of groundbreaking rides: the world’s 1st Kids Double TornadoWAVE and EMEA’s 1st FlyingSAUCER 8 in 2024, and now, Europe’s first Double TornadoWAVE 60—the iconic King Tornado.
“These bold investments underscore Water World’s dedication to thrilling, high capacity, family-friendly experiences, making them an ideal partner for ProSlide.
“We’re excited to help bring their vision to life with world-class, high-thrill attractions designed for guests of all ages.”
Water World opened in 1985 as the first water park in Spain. Situated in Catalonia’s Costa Brava, the 140,000 square metre park includes more than 20 attractions, and its continual evolution concentrates on innovation and broad visitor appeal. Tornado King is now open as part of Water World’s full summer offering.
Last month, ProSlide Technology Inc. marked the official opening of Chimelong Water Park’s milestone expansion. Together, the two organisations are bringing together advanced technology and intelligent, guest-centric design to reimagine the possibilities for parks worldwide.
