London’s V&A museum is seeking a Taylor Swift superfan to become its official advisor about the American singer-songwriter.
The museum is recruiting five “superfan advisors” to help it learn more about “the current cultural trends that will inform the future of museum collecting”, the V&A said.
The V&A is also looking for advisors who are passionate about Crocs footwear, emojis, drag, and tufting, a type of textile manufacturing.
The successful Swiftie will give their expert insights into fan culture and the memorabilia that the singer’s fans collect and create, like handmade signs and friendship bracelets.

Museum director Tristram Hunt said: “These new advisory roles will help us celebrate and discover more about the enormous, and often surprising, creative diversity on offer at the V&A, as well as helping us to learn more about the design stories that are relevant to our audiences today.”
The V&A has already found four superfan advisors to offer suggestions on Toby jugs, Pokémon cards, the Gorpcore fashion trend, and Lego.
The initiative is part of the V&A’s wider attempts to expand its “vast curatorial knowledge” by engaging grassroots experts to assist in “specific cultural niches”.
Swifties can submit their applications from today (23 February) until 7 March. The position will be filled before the US pop star begins the European leg of her Eras tour in May. Successful applicants will be paid per session.
V&A to expand curatorial knowledge
In more news, V&A East has announced its first exhibition, ‘The Music Is Black: A British Story’, which will open with the new museum in 2025.
The immersive show will reveal the impact of Black British music on British culture and across the world.
Gus Casely-Hayford, V&A East director, said the exhibition will “tell a long-overdue story about the creation of our national sound and its impact on culture around the world”.
