Alterface reveals turnkey designs for Action League ride

News
Alterface Action League overview

Pirates and robots join the interactive fun for families and groups

Alterface, a leader in interactive technology, has provided a preview of three themes for its award-winning dark ride experience ahead of an appearance at IAAPA Expo Europe in September.

Players are seated on a rotating platform in Action League, spinning into a competitive team versus team endeavour. An elevated queue design both saves space and builds excitement for queueing players with a preview of the experience., adding to the excitement.

The installation is scalable from 36 to 72 players at a time and integrated into a range of infrastructures. Action League is also fully customisable and can be adapted to comply with park cultures and local trends.

Last year, Action League won Alterface an IAAPA Brass Ring in the category of Best New Product Concept Award: Major Attraction.

“That recognition inspired us to fully develop Action League into an attraction that would engage players and keep them coming back for more,” says CEO Stéphane Battaille. “For our clients, we wanted to optimise every square meter and create an easy-to-use, easy-to-upgrade product. With the collaboration of P+A Projects, we refined the initial concept and brought it to fulfilment.”

Three turnkey theming and media packages have been developed for attractions, however, Alterface can create bespoke content packages tailor-made to client specifications and requirements.

Giant Robot Intense Tournament (G.R.I.T.) invites competitive teams to climb into the driving seat of a gigantic robot, shooting at power nodes to boost performance, collect bonuses and impose penalties. This application fuses classic video game mechanics with elaborate game design.

Designed especially for families, The Daft Pirates combines an engaging storyline with humour and fun situations. Players are taken to a colourful island populated with cute characters created by Bon Art Studio, the same Alterface media partners who also worked on Bazyilszek and Popcorn Revenge. The island is soon invaded by a group of armed pirates hunting the island’s hidden treasures. Players are charged with defending the stash and driving the pirates away from the island.

The Green House offers a unique player-versus-player interactive experience that relies on group effort. Based in a steampunk world where experimented plants have mutated into dangerous enemies, players are tasked with cleaning up the mess. Participants will descend through levels of an infested greenhouse to locate and destroy the root of the problem.

Alterface will be on hand to answer questions about Action League and other projects at IAAPA Expo Europe Booth #222, taking place in ExCel London from 13-15 September 2022.
