Walltopia Group, a world leader in the climbing and adventure & leisure industries, has announced its new Adventure Hub, which will stand 22 metres tall. The standardised entertainment attraction, which is designed with a momentum capacity of 800 people, has been designed to generate maximum income whilst reducing expenditure on the number of necessary operators.
The Adventure Hub is designed to draw a big number of people from a diverse audience. From enthusiastic thrill seekers seeking an adrenaline rush to more cautious individuals seeking a more peaceful experience and a wonderful view. As a result, the facility can serve as a new focal point for an entertainment centre, but it can also serve as a standalone attraction for resorts, golf clubs, theme parks and water parks.
A space-saving adventure
A four-level Ropes Course, an Adventure Trail, a Cloud Climb, a Net Tower, Fun Walls, a Rollglider, a Zip Line, and a Viewing Platform are among the attractions of the Adventure Hub. The installation requires significantly less room and materials than if the attractions were created separately, as Walltopia leverages the space vertically. This design fulfils the firm’s aim of developing world-class active entertainment attractions and experiences that are safe, accessible, and inventive, and is available in several themes.
Unharnessed fun
The Adventure Trail, Net Tower, and Cloud Climb are the three unharnessed attractions of the Adventure Hub.
“Unharnessed attractions are a must at any location, their main advantage is that they are entirely safe, this is why they decrease the operational costs and can operate with a very high capacity. At the same time they do not require fine motor skills and are therefore suitable even for the youngest visitors“, says a representative of the firm.
The Adventure Trail is made up of plywood houses connected by nets that lead to the Net Tower; the momentum capacity of these two attractions is 74 people, while the recommended number of operators is one, who can also operate the Cloud Climb, which is designed in close proximity and has a momentum capacity of 22 people. It allows the children to jump from petal to petal and then securely slide down when they reach the top, which is 7.3 metres above the ground. There is also another slide 3 metres above that that they can access via the Net Tower.
Harnessed attractions
Fun Walls, Rollglider, Ropes Course, and Zip Line are among the tethered activities available.
The Ropes Course has four levels, the highest of which is 14.6m above the ground. It is designed for children over the age of six and contains 54 obstacles with three degrees of difficulty – simple, moderate, and challenging so that the entire family can climb together. Because this attraction has a momentum capacity of 162 people, four operators are recommended.
Visitors can also utilise the 112m long gravity Zip Line to escape the Adventure Zone, or they can ride the electric Rollglider, which is 120m long and runs around the entire Ropes Course, providing a good perspective of the entire facility.
Furthermore, visitors to the site can utilise the steps to reach the viewing platform, which is 18.2 metres above the ground. All areas of the facility are accessible through the stairs, so if a guest does not want to climb but still wishes to utilise the Rollglider, they may do so.
Driving ticketed revenue
The facility’s structure allows it to be divided into several zones, providing the ideal opportunity to maximise your pricing tactics. Walltopia has discovered that having a ticket that combines attractions for the same age group is essential.
The Cloud Climb, Adventure Trail, and Net Tower, for example, can all be included in a kids’ ticket, whilst the Rollglider, Zip Line, and Ropes Course can all be included in a young adult/teenager ticket.
A theme-based ticket is another solution that the organisation has found useful. A panorama ticket, for example, may contain the Viewing Platform and the electric Rollglider, as well as a climbing ticket that includes the Fun Walls and the Ropes Course.
The company continues: “Walltopia always strives to be the leader in innovation in everything it does. The standardized Adventure Hub comes as a result of many previous projects which combine active entertainment products. It is an evolutionary result of experience and know-how to run an adventure facility.”
Earlier this year Walltopia announced Higher Eye, its security and safety solution for climbing walls which aids operation and provides extra reassurance for operators.
