News
7thSense Kings Award

The company is recognised for its exceptional growth over the last three years

7thSense, the multi-award-winning media solutions specialist, has been awarded the UK’s highest honour for businesses: The King’s Award.

The company has established a reputation for some of the most highly regarded visitor experiences in the world, with theme parks, museums, live event installations and entertainment experiences all within their portfolio.

The team, which is celebrating its 19th anniversary, will receive the award from His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the County and will attend an official ceremony at Buckingham Palace in the summer.

Innovative audio-visual solutions

The privately-owned company develops creative software and technology from their headquarters in Sussex where products are developed, tested and built in-house. They also have locations in London, Orlando and Burbank.

7thSense’s innovations include Delta Media Server, R-Series 10, Actor media server, Conjurer generative media server solution, Compere media presentation workflow software, Juggler pixel processor, and Medialon show control range of hardware and software.

The celebrated Delta Media Server product line offers market-leading projection, which can maintain the quality of the projected media on any screen or display surface.

Matt Barton, CEO, 7thSense says: “We are honoured to have been recognised with a King’s Award. In our journey as a company, we have built a reputation for quality, performance, export success and service. I’m incredibly proud of what the 7thSense team has achieved.”

Richard Brown, CTO, 7thSense adds: “Our focus on continuous innovation has seen 7thSense introduce an ever-growing suite of award-winning new products in recent years. These solutions are repeatedly chosen by our global client base that wants to set new limits of what’s possible with display and experiential technologies.”

The King’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade

This year’s award winners were announced on Friday 21 April, marking the birthday of the late Queen Elizabeth II. King Charles III is continuing the legacy of the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise and The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service. He has given his name to these awards which recognise volunteers and outstanding businesses.

7thSense products have been used at thousands of attractions, including many of the most extraordinary and technically advanced experiences.

Projects include the Three Fights with Baigujing flying dark ride at Huai’an Xiyou World in China, and Expo 2020 Dubai, where the company provided 56 media servers and 17 Medialon show control systems. Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi, the Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run ride at Disneyland in California, Dubai’s Museum of the Future and MSG Sphere in Las Vegas also use 7thSense technology.

“Our customers come to us with complex display challenges,” Brown comments, “They will not accept compromise in quality and reliability, and neither do we. Our ongoing success reflects that.”

The King’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade recognises companies that show exceptional growth in international trade over the last three years.

Bryan Hinckley, 7thSense managing director, says: “Our strategy is to deliver unrivalled customer service, continuous innovation and the most compelling experiences through storytelling technology. To be recognised with an award that acknowledges our major business growth during the challenging COVID and BREXIT periods, is truly testament to the dedication and agility of our incredible team”

7thSense has won a range of awards, including the Queen’s Award for Enterprise Innovation in 2014, and an AV award for Juggler pixel processor in 2022.

Last February, 7thSense launched the new Performer Range product line at ISE in Barcelona. This range of new technologies is designed to enable high-quality media-based storytelling.
