AREA15 celebrates first year, reveals plans for new attractions

Since opening in September last year, AREA15 has welcomed nearly 2 million visitors and launched 20 attractions and experiences.

AREA15, an experiential art and entertainment complex in Las Vegas, is celebrating its first year of operations, also revealing plans to open a new balloon ride and sensory experience in 2022.

Since blowing off the doors in September last year, AREA15 has welcomed nearly 2 million visitors, created more than 1,000 new jobs, and launched 20 attractions and experiences.

Winston Fisher, AREA15 CEO, said: “Opening amid a pandemic made transforming venues and experiences into pop-up outdoor restaurants and hosting socially-distanced events with reduced capacities a new normal and locals flocked, eager to escape their self-quarantines.”

Lift Off and Illuminarium for 2022

“We are so pleased with the reception AREA15 received in Las Vegas, and we look forward to announcing locations in other markets soon,” Fisher added.

During its first year, AREA15 sold a total of 1,659,938 tickets. The attraction also reported 70,000 rides on Haley’s Comet, 30,000 rides on Birdly, and 28,000 rides on Oz Ride.

More than 800,000 people visited Meow Wolf’s Omega Mart, and AREA15 hosted a total of 44 events and sold 81,000 tickets to Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience.
