Area15 in Las Vegas is celebrating the opening of Zone 2: The Terminals.
The expansion features dozens of newly installed festival-style sculptures and colourful murals, along with Looper Bar, offering a new place for guests to relax and socialise. It also features new dining options, including The Beast Mobile Food Trailer and two retail kiosks. Additionally, Universal Destinations & Experiences has launched its first-ever year-round, fully immersive horror attraction, Universal Horror Unleashed.

CEO Winston Fisher led the ribbon-cutting ceremony with elected officials under the venue’s iconic red “A.” The event included performers in creative costumes, visual effects, and a toast with Mayor Shelley Berkley, Councilwoman Olivia Diaz, and community leaders.
Universal Horror Unleashed
Universal Horror Unleashed is the first-ever year-round horror experience developed by the masters of horror at Universal Destinations & Experiences. Set in an abandoned warehouse, this experience features four haunted houses, themed areas with live entertainment, and spooky food and drinks.
“Today marks an exciting step in our expansion into new markets as we officially welcome guests to Universal Horror Unleashed in Las Vegas,” says Page Thompson, president of new ventures at Universal Destinations & Experiences.
“Horror Unleashed will provide unique character interactions that will thrill fans of both horror and immersive entertainment.”
The four haunted house experiences offer guests a series of terrifying themed zones, including a story about vengeful scarecrows on a 1930s farmland, a revival of ‘The Texas Chainsaw Massacre’ with iconic scenes and characters, encounters with classic horror monsters like Dracula, The Mummy, and Frankenstein, and a chilling journey into demonic possession inspired by ‘The Exorcist: Believer’.
Themed areas include Kill Vault, where guests encounter shadowy, murderous characters; Prop Graveyard, featuring haunted dolls and mannequins from film sets; Dead Storage, a spooky collection of relics and creatures like vampires and a werewolf; and Jack’s Alley, a carnival-themed zone with sinister performers.
Universal Destinations & Experiences also enlisted Las Vegas street artist Krie for a mural on the building’s exterior, showcasing his bold graffiti style. The mural vividly depicts Universal Horror Unleashed and celebrates Las Vegas, highlighting the company’s support for local artists and culture.
Food, drink and merch
Guests at Universal Horror Unleashed can enjoy themed food and speciality cocktails across several areas. After visiting four haunted houses, enjoying live entertainment, and sampling themed food and drinks, horror fans can shop for various merchandise, including apparel, collectables, jewellery, and accessories.
The “Haunted High Rollers” VIP Package is a three-hour horror event that offers an all-access pass. It includes priority entry to Universal Horror Unleashed for up to six guests, unlimited access to haunted houses via the VIP Lane, a personal host, a VIP food and drink menu, artist meet-and-greets with private performances, exclusive merchandise discounts, and more.
In the coming months, Area15 will introduce additional attractions, bars, eateries, retail experiences, and the iconic Boeing 747 from Burning Man, now transformed into a dining and nightlife venue.
