The Point render Endless Surf

The Point Surf Park and Endless Surf, next-generation wave pool technology from WhiteWater, a leading waterpark manufacturer, have announced their partnership to introduce Florida’s first surf park. Currently under construction on Florida’s east coast, The Point is poised to make waves in 2026.

Set to become the state’s inaugural surf park and the first Endless Surf lagoon in the US, this pioneering project has created much excitement among surfers throughout Florida.

Situated on a 10.5-acre site in Fellsmere, Indian River County, next to the famous Sebastian Inlet, The Point Surf Park will serve as a key centre for Florida’s vibrant surf community.

Located between the Treasure Coast and Space Coast—two areas rich in surf culture attracting millions of visitors each year—it is an ideal destination for seasoned surfers and newcomers alike. Additionally, as Florida frequently encounters long periods of flat conditions and unpredictable ocean swells, the state’s large surf community will now enjoy access to world-class waves year-round.

Customisable waves

The Point will be anchored by Endless Surf’s ES36 technology, renowned for its powerful pneumatic hardware and innovative software suite.

The ES36 provides customisable and powerful waves ideal for surfers from beginners to experts. Its wave technology can create waves as high as overhead and offers rides lasting up to 19 seconds in Single Peak configuration and up to 11 seconds in Split Peak.

Moreover, the heart-shaped design creates an authentic and dynamic beach atmosphere that caters to multiple skill levels at once, while also offering high-action views for spectators along the beachfront and backwall.

The Point Surf Park was conceived by three passionate surfers and developers aiming to establish a space for Florida surfers to gather, train, and ride waves throughout the year.

With decades of experience in real estate, construction, and development, Luiz De Araujo, Asa Cascavilla, and Jack Cook make up the ownership team of The Point Surf Park. This trio is dedicated to creating a surf paradise that provides not only top-tier surfing and family-friendly experiences but also embodies their commitment to honouring God through their work.

Through their partnership with Endless Surf, they align their vision with the most advanced wave technology available.

“A haven for surfers, by surfers”

Work on the Endless Surf lagoon is underway, with site grading and pile installation completed. With the project being fully funded and supported by the community, the official groundbreaking marks a significant milestone for Florida’s surf community.

As the state’s first surf park and the USA’s first Endless Surf lagoon, The Point Surf Park aims to satisfy the region’s significant demand for waves on demand and spark greater interest in surfing among beginners and newcomers to the sport.

Luiz de Araujo, The Point Surf Park founder, says: “Our vision has always been to create a haven for surfers, by surfers. Partnering with Endless Surf to leverage their next-generation technology to bring Florida’s surf park dreams to life was a no-brainer. We’re so stoked to offer a space where Florida’s surfing community can come together and experience waves like never before.”

Baptiste Caulonque, chief commercial officer at Endless Surf, adds: “Collaborating with Luiz and his surf-centric vision perfectly aligns with our mission to help create world-class surf experiences.

“Projects in planning in Florida throughout the last decade have been tough to get off the ground. That said, we are beyond thrilled to be working alongside The Point to bring ES waves to a region that is hungry for a surf park. Our ES36 system is designed to cater to surfers of all levels, and we’re confident that this partnership will set a new standard for wave technology and surf parks in the US.”

Last year was a landmark year for Endless Surf. Following its launch in Munich in the summer, Endless Surf gained significant traction and made headlines worldwide, with stories from the Australian Gold Coast to the beaches of Brazil and Cabo. Endless Surf wave pools are becoming increasingly popular as anchor attractions for operators aiming to meet the needs of contemporary visitors, as interest in the sport grows worldwide.
