WildBrain CPLG, a global leader in entertainment, sports, and brand licensing, and Dr. Seuss Enterprises have announced an expansion of their longstanding consumer products partnership.

Under a new agreement, WildBrain CPLG has been appointed to represent location-based entertainment (LBE) rights for Dr. Seuss’ beloved properties across the UK, Europe and Asia-Pacific (excluding Greater China).

This marks a major strategic milestone as Dr. Seuss Enterprises expands the presence of franchises such as How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, The Cat in the Hat and Oh, The Places You’ll Go!, through LBE ahead of significant content launches and milestone anniversaries.

Maarten Weck, EVP, global partnerships and licensing, WildBrain, says: "This expansion represents a significant next step in our partnership with Dr. Seuss Enterprises at a time when demand for immersive, story‑driven experiences has never been stronger.

"These brands, with their timeless tales, delightful art and beloved characters, continue to resonate across generations and are ideal for high‑quality experiences that will create long-term value, uphold creative integrity and stay true to Dr. Seuss’ mission to inspire reading and joyful learning for children and families worldwide."

World-class experiences

The much-awaited The Cat in the Hat animated feature, featuring Bill Hader, is set to be released on 6 November 2026 from Warner Bros. Pictures Animation, and the 70th anniversaries of The Cat in the Hat and How the Grinch Stole Christmas! will be celebrated in 2027.

With this extended partnership, WildBrain CPLG’s LBE team, led by Evi Sari, vice president, global LBE, will identify and lead opportunities for immersive, top-tier branded experiences at theme parks, family entertainment centres (FECs), exhibitions, and walk‑through attractions.

The company aims to create thoughtfully developed experiences that bring Dr. Seuss’ iconic stories into immersive real-world environments, deepening fan engagement and building long-term brand value.

Susan Brandt, president and CEO of Dr. Seuss Enterprises, says: "Fandom for the Dr. Seuss property continues to accelerate, as its characters and stories remain firmly at the center of the cultural zeitgeist.

"We are actively expanding our location-based entertainment business to meet growing global demand, creating immersive experiences that bring our stories to life for fans of all ages.

"Through our collaboration with WildBrain CPLG, we are scaling this category with intention and innovation—unlocking new opportunities for audiences worldwide to engage directly with our IP in meaningful, memorable ways."

Last year, WildBrain sold 41 percent of Peanuts Holdings to Sony, bringing the Japanese conglomerate's stake to 80 percent. Under Sony's ownership, WildBrain will continue to manage elements of the Peanuts portfolio.
