New attraction also teases the Prop Graveyard immersive area

Universal Horror Unleashed has unveiled a third haunted house, this one themed to Blumhouse’s 2023 horror film The Exorcist: Believer.

In addition to the haunted house, Universal Horror Unleashed has shared new details for an immersive area called the Prop Graveyard and the Premiere House tapas bar.

Starting with the haunted house, this will immerse visitors in “a harrowing retelling of the film’s descent into demonic possession”, Universal said in a press release.

The experience begins at the market where a violent earthquake takes place. Later, guests will find themselves in the shadowy woods where friends Katherine and Angela mysteriously vanish, only to be discovered days later with no memory of what happened.

Next, the terror builds as guests go from room to room, seeing Katherine and Angela’s horrifying transformation and even witnessing their exorcism.

As for the Prop Graveyard, this is one of four immersive areas at Horror Unleashed. Guests will meet a supernatural collection of disturbing dolls, dismembered mannequins, and other haunted objects from abandoned film sets.

Universal’s first permanent horror attraction

Next door, visitors can relax in Premiere House, a tapas bar featuring movie props and spooky décor from some of Universal’s most recent Blumhouse horror films.

As well as The Exorcist: Believer, haunted houses at Universal Horror Unleashed are themed to Universal’s classic monsters, an original story called Scarecrow: The Reaping, and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974).

Universal Horror Unleashed is Universal Destinations & Experiences’ first-ever year-round horror experience.

It opens in Las Vegas on 14 August as part of Area15’s 20-acre expansion.

In an interview with blooloop, Universal Orlando’s Lora Sauls said: “It’s going to be an amazing experience, we love that Halloween Horror Nights is now its own IP and has grown beyond even just the parks.”
