MCN 2025 registrations

MCN 2025 is taking place in Minneapolis from 20 to 22 October. Early bird tickets are available until 20 August.

The Museum Computer Network (MCN), a non-profit organisation supporting museums to achieve their digital goals, has opened registration for the MCN 2025 Conference.

The event is taking place at the Walker Art Center, Minneapolis from 20 to 22 October, and gathers cultural heritage professionals from museums and historic sites throughout North America and further afield.

“MCN 2025 offers an inspiring space for our community to connect, share knowledge, and explore the latest innovations in digital technologies for museums,” says the organisation.

“During a time of great uncertainty, it’s more important than ever to learn, collaborate, and develop strategies for resilience together.”

Supporting the muse-tech community

The full conference agenda will be announced in mid-August.

Delegates can look forward to two days of inspiring sessions, spanning from technical deep dives to compelling case studies, networking opportunities to connect with peers, an evening reception, museum tours, and MCN’s signature event, Ignite!

The agenda is curated by the MCN co-chairs and a committee of volunteer proposal reviewers who contribute a broad range of expertise.

MCN is committed to making the conference more accessible to a wide range of organisations, and recognises that while smaller organisations offer invaluable contributions to the muse-tech landscape, they often have limited budgets for professional development.

As such, MCN is offering a discounted ticket for members of small organisations, including non-profit institutions with annual operating budgets of less than $10M, or for-profit organisations with fewer than five employees.

Additionally, it is providing a limited number of reduced-rate tickets for students enrolled in accredited institutions of higher learning.

MCN’s BIPOC Speakers Fund provides support for the engagement of BIPOC people at the conference. The fund seeks to offer a platform for a diverse range of speakers, which will make the event better for everyone. The fund will be equally distributed among self-identified, self-nominated BIPOC conference speakers, and donations can be made during the registration process.

Calls for proposals closed earlier this month. MCN invited proposals highlighting innovation, emerging work, and critical themes in museum technology.
