Moment Factory presents new Miroir Miroir immersive experience in Montreal

News
Miroir Miroir Moment Factory

Moment Factory, the multimedia entertainment studio specialising in the conception and production of immersive environments, presents its latest project, an immersive art experience entitled Miroir Miroir at Place Bonaventure in downtown Montreal, Canada. This new attraction invites guests into a chromatic world of light and sound, and takes inspiration from the human mind and its endless capacity for creativity.

Miroir Miroir brings together lighting design, scenography, original music, words and interactivity for a multimedia experience exploring the imagination. In this fully immersive artistic experience, words become light, ideas inspire poems, and gestures can result in a complete transformation.

A personal experience

Visitors are invited to develop their own unique relationship with the experience across five immersive art installations that are inspired by memory, imagination, dreams, and awareness. Each person chooses one of three doors at the start and from there, guests explore in their own time and their own way.

Moment Factory drew inspiration from a variety of sources, as well as using its own R&D, to create Miroir Miroir, expressing the distinct aesthetic vision of its technical and creative teams.

“For the past 10 years, we have been creating original experiences in unexpected outdoor locations, from forests to botanical gardens to heritage sites,” says Marie Belzil, creative director at Moment Factory.

“Today we wanted to create an indoor experience that reflects our image: colourful, playful, hypnotic. Across a variety of locations and formats, at Moment Factory we always aim to bring people together and create collective moments of wonder. That’s why We do it in Public.”

The experience, which opened on 4 April and will run until 18 June, is presented by Fever and supported by the Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal and the Ministère de l’Économie, de l’Innovation et de l’Énergie. It is part of the ré·CRÉATION MTL program, under the “I love working downtown” economic recovery initiative, which encourages workers to return to the downtown core. Miroir Miroir will be free for downtown employees from Tuesday to Friday during the day, with a reservation.

Recently Moment Factory helped iconic champagne brand Moët & Chandon celebrate its 280th anniversary at the Palais Brongniart in Paris, France, bringing its “Effervescence” concept to life with projection mapping, digital content, lighting, and sound.
