The new four-acre land is the biggest project in Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure‘s history.

The UK’s first-ever ‘Gigantosaurus Land’ is opening at Norfolk’s Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure in 2024. The attraction is based on animated preschool TV series, Gigantosaurus.

The new four-acre land is the biggest development in the dinosaur-themed park’s history. It is designed to encourage exploratory and sensory play.

Gigantosaurus Land will be completed in three phases. The first phase includes a ‘vertical volcano’ drop ride, spinning flower teacups, water play, a jumping pillow, and a wooden climbing den.

Adam Goymour, the park’s director, said the development is a “momentous time in Roarr!’s history”. He said the team is “hugely proud of the changes we have made to Roarr! over the years”.

Located in the existing 85-acre park, Gigantosaurus Land is a partnership with Cyber Group Studios, a Paris-based developer, producer and distributor of animated TV series and movies for children.

Currently streaming worldwide on Disney+ and Netflix, Gigantosaurus is based on Jonny Duddle’s book.

“This has been a four-year project including two years of negotiations with Cyber Group Studios and nine months to obtain planning permission,” Goymour added.

Teaming up with Cyber Group Studios “to bring to life the wonderful world of Gigantosaurus is a privilege and we can’t wait to see our guests’ reactions when they visit this immersive and beautiful new area”, he said.

There will be new dinosaur-themed F&B outlets, and a Gigantosaurus-themed shop. Huge dinosaur footprints will feature along the walkways, and a smaller play area will have a slide made from Gigantosaurus’ scales.

Goymour said the collaboration with Cyber Group Studios “is going to elevate Roarr! even further – providing our guests from around the UK with so much to discover and enjoy during their family day out”.

Work is due to begin in January 2023, with the first phase set to open to the public in 2024. The final two phases will include even more Gigantosaurus-themed attractions.

“We can’t wait to see the Gigantosaurus series come to life and share the enjoyment, fun and adventure with park visitors,” said Bruno Danzel d’Aumont, VP of international licensing and marketing at Cyber Group Studios.

Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure is a family-owned adventure park in Lenwade, Norfolk. It is home to attractions such as Dippy’s Splash Zone, Secret Animal Garden, Valley of the Dinosaurs, Predator High Ropes and Dippy’s Theatre.
