Attractions.io Multi-Level Mapping preview at SEA Expo

Attendees at SEA Expo can meet COO Ted Ismert and the team at Stand 3 C261

Attractions.io, a leading creator of mobile visitor apps, has announced that it will preview its new Multi-Level Mapping functionality at the Saudi Entertainment & Amusement (SEA) Expo, which is taking place in Riyadh from 7 to 9 May.

“With guests regularly citing ‘getting lost’ as the most frustrating part of their visit, helping them get from A to B has never been so important,” says a spokesperson from the firm. “And with 58% stating that they would love to see hotspots labelled so they could plan their route accordingly, it’s no longer enough to offer a static, 2-D map of your attraction. The future lies in empowering guests with the tools to curate their own adventures.”

Attractions.io, the mobile app platform driving digital guest experiences at leading attractions including The Kennedy Space Centre Visitor Complex, Butlin’s Resorts, and LEGOLAND, will be giving delegates at SEA Expo an exclusive first look at its new multi-level mapping functionality.

Enhanced internal maps

Attractions.io’s new offering provides visitors with a comprehensive understanding of an attraction’s buildings, including straightforward point-to-point navigation.

Key features of multi-level mapping include:

  • Reliable indoor wayfinding. Visitors can use the wayfinding features that they know from Attractions.io’s standard map, and now can also select indoor destinations.
  • Dynamic recognition. When visitors approach a facility using Indoor Mapping, the app smoothly displays the interior layout.
  • Interactive points of interest. Visitors can find additional information by tapping on points of interest inside buildings. As outside locations are still accessible, visitors can get a full picture of their surroundings.
  • Immersive experiences. Attractions can enhance internal maps with ambient lighting, animations, and water reflections to capture the atmosphere of each space. Visitors can use 3D rotations, tilt, and zoom to explore maps in detail.

This new function is ideal for indoor attractions such as museums and hotels, as well as outdoor attractions with on-site buildings like theme parks, zoos, and aquariums.

Flexible functionality

Attractions.io offers multi-level mapping within its complete mobile app platform and as a standalone SDK.

The Attractions.io mobile app platform has been created to help attractions deliver exceptional visitor experiences by linking each touchpoint in the visitor journey. Its comprehensive range of tools improves visitor satisfaction, income, and loyalty.

In addition, the platform allows attractions to provide tailored experiences, streamline operations, and boost visitor engagement and satisfaction by using real-time data and insights from millions of visitors.

Attractions.io’s mapping technology, MapLayr, was created for the experience sector and complements the core platform. This comprehensive SDK, which has been implemented effectively at Cedar Fair, integrates into any custom mobile application.

This technology provides enterprise-grade navigation solutions, including multi-level, one-way, and accessible routing, without the complexities often posed by map development. As a result, visitors can enjoy an easy-to-use mapping and wayfinding experience.

Attractions.io COO Ted Ismert and the team will be at SEA Expo at Stand 3 C261. Attendees can discover the Attractions.io platform and MapLayr and discuss their needs, whether they are considering a comprehensive platform or an integration into an existing app.

Attractions.io announced the launch of Indoor Mapping earlier this month. The new function enables operators to generate interactive maps of multi-level structures, for buildings with one storey or over 20.
