Disneyland Paris has reopened its Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast attraction following a major refurbishment.

The dark ride has been restored by Walt Disney Imagineering's Paris teams.

The attraction's façade, which is covered in radars, energy-collecting towers, and futuristic pillars to represent Star Command’s space station, has been repainted, as has the marquee and the Buzz Lightyear statue.

Additionally, the neon lighting on the ride's five towers and radar dishes has been completely redone to offer "even more vibrant lighting", Disneyland Paris said.

The Astro Blaster ride vehicles, which allow riders to shoot targets, have been dismantled and replaced. Some targets have been replaced.

Also, some of the ride vehicles have been repainted and equipped with new dashboards with improved displays.

Within the attraction, the lighting has been completely overhauled, and several audio-animatronics have been restored.

Disney World in Florida is also updating its Buzz Lightyear attraction at Magic Kingdom to provide handheld blasters and enhanced ride vehicles.

For the updates to take place, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin closed in August and is set to reopen next year.

Back at Disneyland Paris, the resort has shared new details on current projects ahead of the launch of Disney Adventure World in 2026.

With the €2 billion transformation of Walt Disney Studios Park into Disney Adventure World, Disneyland Paris' second park will double in size.

As well as World of Frozen, Disney Adventure World includes a new main avenue for entertainment called Adventure Way, a new attraction inspired by Walt Disney Animation Studios' Tangled, and an expansive lake called Adventure Bay, which will host a spectacular nighttime show.
