Award-winning accessibility

At this year’s Surf Park Summit, the inaugural People’s Choice Award went to EpicSurf’s project with Aqua Creek. This sought to improve surf accessibility by developing the first standing wave lift system. The award was selected through a live audience vote and is a testament to the enthusiasm and positive feedback for EpicSurf’s innovative initiatives to increase diversity in the surfing community.

The partnership with Aqua Creek, a leader in ability-enhancing equipment, aims to provide new opportunities for people with limited mobility to enjoy surfing on a stationary wave. This collaboration highlights EpicSurf’s dedication to removing physical boundaries and making surfing accessible to all visitors.

EpicSurf is a long-established leader in deep-water stationary surf wave technology, and provides customisable waves to surfers of any ability level, from adaptive athletes to veterans and children.

Further demonstrating its dedication to accessibility, EpicSurf is the first and only standing wave certified as an Autism Resource by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES). Features such as the retractable training bar, variable pump flow, and quick wave adjustability make EpicSurf an ideal choice for adaptive surfers and people with different needs and abilities.

New branding marks a new era

WaveTek, a leader in wave system technology and design, has revealed its new logo. The new look has been designed to embody the product’s dedication to exciting, innovative, and creative wave-based experiences.

This new branding embraces the dynamic quality of water motion, symbolizing energy, excitement, and innovation, while paying homage to WaveTek’s more than 50 years of experience in creating world-class wave systems.

The new logo has been designed to represent WaveTek’s mission: to create the greatest quality wave systems for aquatic attractions worldwide. WaveTek continues to push the boundaries of technological innovation, defining the industry standard in wave system design for recreational wave pools, surf pools, speciality wave systems and more.

With over 550 wave pools and speciality wave systems to their name, WaveTek’s innovations have set the stage for an abundance of amazing aquatic experiences.

As part of ADG, WaveTek’s dedication to furthering the wave industry remains as strong as ever. The logo signifies a new chapter for WaveTek as it continues to explore new developments in wave technology while ensuring the high standards that distinguish the brand.
