blooloop 50 Zoo and Aquarium Influencer List 2025 revealed

blooloop is pleased to unveil the blooloop 50 2025 Zoo & Aquarium Influencer List in association with SSA Group, a best-in-class provider of integrated guest services.

Our natural world is facing increasing threats from pollution, habitat destruction, the illegal trade in wildlife, and the severe effects of climate change.

Zoos and aquariums are at the forefront of conservation and sustainability. These organisations help protect endangered species and habitats, inspiring visitors to care about the natural world through research and education.

Now in its fourth year, the List honours 50 key individuals whose work has made a significant impact and advances the vital efforts of today's leading zoos and aquariums.

Mission, sustainability & visitor experience

The List was revealed on Thursday, 9 October, in a webinar with Ruth Read, director of blooloop and David Rosenberg, executive vice president, SSA Ventures. They announced the 2025 List, including the Power 10, and discussed the key trends that it reveals.

Rosenberg says: "One thing that really got me excited is the number of people who help to connect the mission of the organisation to sustainability, to visitor experience.

"The List also recognises a lot of industry associations this year. They are almost unsung heroes within the industry who support us so we can do what we do best."

blooloop would like to thank our team of expert judges for compiling the List:

Karen Fifield, chief executive, Wellington Zoo Trust; Rob Hicks, VP, global conservation, welfare and education, Merlin Entertainments; Kim McIntrye, executive director, Aquarium Conservation Partnership; David Rosenberg, executive vice president, SSA Ventures; and Kanako Tomisawa, spokesperson / social media editor, Omuta City Zoo / International Zoo Educators Association.

We also extend our thanks to all of the individuals who nominated their peers, and to our good friends at SSA Group for their support.
