KCC Entertainment Design, a leading creator of themed environments, is celebrating its success at the 2025 MENALAC Awards in Riyadh, where it was honoured with two awards.
This recognition cements the company’s standing as a leader in the international entertainment sector.
KCC was awarded the Best Designer Award, which reflects the company’s contribution to the design and delivery of top-tier leisure destinations throughout the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The DockX in Jeddah, a KCC-designed project created in partnership with Fawasel Group, was awarded Best Family Entertainment Center (FEC) Above 2,000 sqm.
Furthermore, KCC project Bonkers in Al Khobar (for Adventure World Entertainment) was placed as a finalist in three categories.
Yannick Maes, CEO of KCC Entertainment Design, says: “These awards are a testament to the creativity, dedication, and expertise of our team. We’re proud to continue playing a key role in shaping the entertainment landscape of the Middle East, in close partnership with our visionary clients.”
Commitment to MENA region
KCC entered the MENA region in 2001, with the opening of Moon Toon at Serafi Mall in Jeddah. This FEC continues to operate today. KCC has since contributed to many renowned venues, such as IN10SO in Jeddah, Sega Republic at Dubai Mall, Fun Oasis in Khobar, Play in Kuwait, Funzone in Oman, Pixoul in Abu Dhabi, and Adrenark in Abu Dhabi, which won Best FEC in 2023.
The company also developed three anchor attractions at Doha Festival City: Angry Birds World, Snow Dunes, and Virtuocity.
With the evolution of the regional market, notably following the COVID-19 pandemic, KCC adapted alongside its clients and continues to produce prestigious projects in the UAE while expanding into rapidly growing markets such as Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Bahrain.
The DockX, an entertainment destination in Jeddah’s Red Sea Mall, launched in early 2024. The venue offers a wide range of interactive attractions, including AR Bowling, AR Billiards, a Black Box immersive room, karaoke suites, drift karting, gamified mini-golf and many others, arranged across more than 3,500 square metres.
With this distinctive offering, The DockX is one of the first venues in Saudi Arabia to serve a target audience of 12 years and older.
In 2024, KCC also delivered Bonkers in Al Khobar, and Boom Room in Cairo for Talaat Moustafa Group, among other significant projects. The company is now working on 16 active projects, four of which are in Saudi Arabia, three in Egypt, and one in Dubai. Many are slated to launch in 2025.
KCC’s design success is driven by a unique methodology that combines local market knowledge, creative vision, visitor experience strategies, and operational skills. This approach produces unforgettable environments and high-performing, commercially successful destinations.
Based in Belgium, KCC Entertainment Design’s team of 25 committed professionals continue to shape the international entertainment space through innovation, creativity, and collaboration.
Recently, KCC marked the opening of Ohana Town at Tropical Islands water park in Berlin, Germany, operated by Parques Reunidos. The new themed social hub spans an area of 1300 square metres and is designed to cater to families and teenagers.
