Embed, a leading worldwide supplier of point-of-sale and revenue management systems, has shared plans to reveal the latest enhancements to its Embed Ecosystem at IAAPA Expo 2025.
The leading event for the visitor attractions industry, IAAPA Expo showcases new products and state-of-the-art services, accompanied by insightful education sessions and impactful networking opportunities.
This year’s Expo will take place in Orlando from 17 to 21 November, with the show floor open from 18 to 21 November.
Ongoing evolution
Embed’s successful launch of the Embed Ecosystem at Amusement Expo International (AEI) and recognition as AAMA’s Supplier of the Year reflect the start of a new era for integrated cashless payment systems that allow operators to connect guests, experience, staff, operations, bookings, payments, sales, and reports.
Since its release, the Embed Ecosystem has constantly evolved in 6-week cycles, and more updates are upcoming. In time for IAAPA Expo, these will include upgrades to BOOKINGS, which will now integrate with KIOSK+ and SALES in a single POS. This aims to increase walk-ins and impulse buys, and capture sales anytime and anywhere.
It also offers new configurations for visitor experiences:
- Single session enables easy reservation management. This ticketing type, for a specific time or option, is blocked once booked by a visitor.
- General admission offers greater flexibility for visitors. This open booking ticketing type also provides more efficient operations and scheduling for staff, and greater profitability for operators.
- General admission + play privilege enables Embed media to be assigned to general admission tickets, and can easily be added to game cards or wearables at a KIOSK+.
Other updates include WAIVERS, which can be simply customised and embedded in the booking process. Visitors can sign e-waivers directly from their email and devices, speeding up the entry process and protecting patrons and businesses from incidents. Additionally, waivers’ visitor data offers operators insights that can help develop meaningful experiences.
With the new ROAMING POS, it is possible to reload game cards, upsell bundles, offer F&B, and book party reservations from anywhere in the family entertainment centre (FEC). Now, the POS can run with mobility and flexibility from a single tablet. Meanwhile, REPORTS and analytics help operators to turn insights into action with tailored data visualisation for outstanding business visibility.
Ecommerce bookings will also soon be available on the BOOKINGS platform. This will enable visitors to reserve their place at anytime and anywhere, providing a smoother experience for guests while driving more sales and attraction bookings for operators.
“From front-of-house to back-office, Embed powers a seamless, revenue-driven ecosystem—exactly how operators like it,” says Renee Welsh, CEO at Embed.
Andy Welsh, CTO at Embed, says: “With these latest enhancements to the solutions under the Embed Ecosystem, BOOKINGS, WAIVERS, SALES, and REPORTS come together in a seamless, simplified, and cost-effective solution without the need for multiple platforms, additional costs, and more software suppliers.
“Now that’s end-to-end.”
