World’s first luxury theme park planned for Nuevo Vallarta

Grupo Vidanta has announced VidantaWorld’s BON, billed as the world’s first luxury theme park. It will open at the VidantaWorld Nuevo Vallarta destination in Mexico in 2026.

VidantaWorld’s BON (an acronym for beauty of nature) features 23 thrilling attractions, 25 world-class restaurants and lounges, 16 retail shops and kiosks, and luxury resort hotels, including the new BON Park Hotel.

Iván Chávez, executive vice president of Grupo Vidanta, said VidantaWorld’s BON is “redefining what a theme park can be as the world’s first all-generations luxury destination”.

He added: “With its seamless blend of cutting-edge innovation, abundant natural beauty, and unparalleled luxury, VidantaWorld’s BON sets a new global standard for experiential entertainment.

“Our collaboration with the industry’s leading visionaries ensures VidantaWorld’s BON will not only captivate guests of all ages but also establish itself as one of the most iconic and transformative destinations in the world.”

Highlights at the new park include Ludõ, a groundbreaking water-themed dinner show by Cirque du Soleil. Debuting in November 2025, this innovative production is housed in a custom theatre with a 360-degree aquatic stage.

New rides by Intamin, Zamperla, Vekoma

P&P Projects, a provider of turnkey design-build services for themed entertainment & leisure experiences, is working with Grupo Vidanta to design ride vehicles and environments for the park.

The park’s record-breaking ‘Tecuani Beast’ is Latin America’s only double launch coaster and is made by Vekoma Rides, the Dutch roller coaster specialist. It offers 3,930 feet of track, six inversions, a top speed of 65 mph, and 13 airtime moments.

Other rides include ‘Beat It’, an interactive boat adventure, ‘Ashara: Goddess of Fire’, a mine train, ‘SOL: Speed of Light’, a suspended family coaster, and ‘Izari’s Flight’, a family coaster.

‘Eternity’ is a dark boat ride, ‘Splash Canyon’ features spinning cups and interactive water blasters, and ‘Enchanted River’ provides a serene ride experience. Additionally, the park’s ‘Vista Wheel’ redefines the traditional Ferris wheel, offering swinging and fixed cabins.

Mack Rides is behind ‘Delia’s Adventure’, an inverted powered coaster. Intamin, a creator of record-breaking amusement rides, is contributing rides such as ‘Floresta Drop’, a reimagined parachute drop ride featuring stunning visual effects.

VidantaWorld’s BON is also collaborating with accesso, Brogent, Walltopia, Zamperla, AOA, and Balich Wonder Studio.

VidantaWorld’s BON is scheduled to open in 2026.
