AZA, the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, has announced its call for proposals for presentations at the 2025 AZA Annual Conference.
This year’s conference will take place in Florida, US, from 13 to 18 September. The AZA Annual Conference is the biggest professional event for zoo and aquarium professionals in the US, and welcomes 2,000 delegates who share a vision to protect and save species. The conference will include over 150 educational sessions, presentations, and discussions, and an Exhibit Hall showcasing over 150 companies.

Proposals for presentations are now being accepted. The deadline for submissions is 11.59 pm PT on Friday 4 April.
Each year, AZA receives hundreds of proposals which are thoroughly reviewed for quality, timeliness, creativity, and relevance.
The Association is inviting proposals for presentations across a range of formats, including 90- and 40-minute sessions, 15-minute individual presentations, 5-minute Buzz presentations, and poster presentations.
Proposals should relate to at least one of the conference tracks; Animal Management, Health & Welfare, Business Operations, Conservation, Development & Membership, Education, Public Relations & Marketing, Volunteer & Intern Engagement, Workplace Culture, Staff Engagement, & Professional Development, and Trends & More.

Earlier this month, AZA released the full programme for its 2025 mid-year meeting, which takes place from 24 to 29 March in Palm Springs, California.
Hosted by the Living Desert Zoo and Gardens, this year’s meeting features diverse sessions and networking events, including peer-developed learning, guest speakers, working group discussions, workshops and summits.
