Observation deck has reopened as a modern, premium space

Merlin Entertainments has unveiled a reimagined observation deck at the Sydney Tower Eye, offering new interiors and amenities.

Standing at 309 metres above the city, the Sydney Tower Eye’s observation deck has reopened as a modern, premium space for a 360-degree viewing experience.

The refreshed attraction features new interiors, seating zones and enhanced viewing opportunities, as well as a new café for light bites, sweet treats and coffee.

“Inspired by the natural world, the carefully considered design blends warm, earthy tones reflecting sandstone cliffs and bushland with ocean-inspired hues and airy textures that bring a sense of lightness and fluidity,” Merlin said in a press release.

“The Sydney Tower Eye has always been the ultimate place to take in the city’s most breathtaking views,” said Ian Wood, vice president of Merlin Entertainments ANZ.

“With the reimagined observation deck, we’ve created a space that feels contemporary and welcoming – designed to elevate the experience and give guests a new way to connect with Sydney.”

From the Sydney Tower Eye’s observation deck, guests can enjoy panoramic views of Sydney, including the Sydney Harbour and Bondi Beach.

Sydney’s viewing experience enhanced

On clear days, the vista can reach 80 kilometres to the peaks of the Blue Mountains.

In the UK, the Brighton i360 observation tower was closed in December after filing for administration.

This came after Merlin announced its acquisition of the observation wheel at Icon Park in Florida. Now called the Orlando Eye, the attraction is located by Merlin’s Sea Life aquarium and Madame Tussauds sites at Icon Park.
