Mad Systems presents new travelling exhibit, Your Baby’s Amazing Brain

News
Mad Systems Your Babys Amaing Brain

Mad Systems Inc., the award-winning audiovisual and interactive system designer and integrator, has recently completed the Your Baby’s Amazing Brain travelling exhibit. This
exhibition focuses on the brain development of infants and toddlers and was created for the Museum of Teaching and Learning (MOTAL), based in Fullerton, California.

This travelling exhibition is housed in a donated 50-foot moving van. It is designed to travel around Southern California and beyond to educate new parents, human development students, and other interested audiences. Inside, visitors can interact with 12 personality quiz-style exhibits on touch screens. These activities are designed to show guests their parenting style and other crucial aspects of human development, including brain health, screen time, language development, emotional intelligence, and the importance of play in learning.

With a continued effort for inclusivity and personalized experiences, each activity is offered in 4 languages: English, Spanish, Vietnamese and Korean. A highlight of the exhibition is a 4-foot-long, 3-foot-wide sculpture of the human brain created by California artist Shane Grammar. This central piece features intricate projection mapping that educates visitors about the brain’s structure, function, and location of its various parts.

Blending tech with educational content

Greta Nagel, PhD., president & CEO of MOTAL, expresses her enthusiasm about the collaboration: “The Museum of Teaching and Learning (MOTAL) wanted to create a mobile exhibition about babies’ astounding brains and the tremendous need for effective parenting, so they turned to Mad Systems.”

“Helping MOTAL turn the interior of a donated 48-foot moving van into an appealing, informative, and memorable experience was a challenge, especially when faced with space and budget limitations.

“The result: Your Baby’s Amazing Brain: Don’t Drop the Ball is about to have its grand opening. It will offer—for free— a space where people will find awesome opportunities to learn about parenting, where linguistic preferences and ADA access are honored, and where visitors will know that they are, indeed, living in the 21st century!

“We are now pleased to say, “This is not a food truck, it’s a food-for-thought truck.”

Founder of Mad Systems, Maris Ensing, adds: “Mad Systems was thrilled to take on the challenge of creating this traveling exhibit. It showcases our commitment to blending technology with educational content in engaging ways.”
