A memorable experience for all ages
"We approached T3 Creative Agency towards the end of the summer about developing and operating a Winter Light Trail at Warwick Castle," says Liam Bartlett, Operations Director at Warwick Castle.
"We recognised there was a great opportunity to offer a safe, outdoor experience in our grounds - in a year when we were very unlikely to be able to operate many indoor events. T3 took to the creative and technical challenge very quickly, pulling together a fantastic team that have truly brought our grounds and gardens to life."
"It’s been so important to us to be able to deliver such a magical experience for our guests in such a difficult year. The team at T3 Creative Agency have done an incredible job of bringing the backdrop of the castle and grounds to life in such a creative way."
The Christmas Light Trail is designed to be enjoyed by the whole family, no matter what age. The company has worked to create wonder with the lights, showcasing the iconic castle and grounds while taking visitors on a unique adventure at the castle at night.
Creating a story
Section four, River of Hope, looks at the boathouse and the importance of the river Avon to the castle. Section five showcases the stunning grounds, designed by Capability Brown, while the final section looks at the evergreen treessurrounding the grounds and how they’ve witnessed the full history of the castle.
The attraction is theatrical and poetic, presented as a spoken story by a wise, all-seeing narrator who is a voice of hope. Guests also have the opportunity to see the south side of the castle, which is normally closed to the general public.
For this experience, T3 employed a staffing director, who oversees 20 event staff members. In total, there are 30,000 lights and 15 kilometres of cable, with 2500 square metres of the castle walls lit, as well as an 8-metre tree. The Christmas Light Trail will reach 25,000 visitors and is running until 17 January 2021.
Reflecting on a successful project
"Producing and operating a live experience was a new challenge and focus for us all. We had to provide an event that could not only be enjoyed by many but was delivered in a safe and secure environment to comply with COVID-19 business rules.
"Our Light Trail offered employment to over 50 staff members, saw over 30,000 visitors through the historic castle doors and established a must-see festive event for Warwick Castle."
T3 creates visually appealing experiences as well as supporting its clients with business advice and management guidance, helping its customers to grow and to establish a positive brand reputation.
