Zero Latency brings next-gen wireless VR experiences to India

News
Zero Latency VR - Group

Zero Latency, a global leader in VR entertainment, has announced that its Mumbai and Gurgaon venues have been upgraded to the advanced Gen 3 platform. This new system eliminates the need for backpacks and wires, providing a fully untethered and immersive VR experience powered by ultra-fast Wi-Fi 6E technology.

The move aligns with Zero Latency’s larger expansion plan in India, launched alongside the country’s recent opening of the 6 GHz spectrum for Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7. This regulatory change enables low-latency, high-bandwidth applications across various sectors—from enterprise to entertainment—positioning India as a key market for future-ready experiences.

Zero Latency VR - Immersive social VR gameplay

“India’s decision to unlock the 6 GHz spectrum has given us the perfect foundation to bring the most advanced VR platform in the world to Indian audiences,” says, Parinitaa Rajgarhiaa operator of Zero Latency’s Mumbai venue.

“Along with upgrading our hardware to make our experiences even more immersive, we’re also setting a new standard for what out-of-home entertainment can be. The response from players and partners has been incredible.”

Transforming the social VR experience

The Gen 3 upgrade introduces a range of performance and content improvements that transform the social VR experience. Now available in India, it offers completely wireless gameplay, eliminating the need for backpacks and wires, allowing players to move freely with lightweight headsets for a more immersive experience.

Additionally, new adventures have been unlocked, including Space Marine VR: Defenders of Avarax, an award-winning epic that delivers cinematic visuals and a deeper narrative. The upgrade also enhances system efficiency, supporting larger group bookings and event-driven activations, resulting in faster player throughput.

Zero Latency VR - Competitive Couple

Furthermore, improved fidelity and tracking provide smoother movement, higher visual resolution, and increased support for large-scale experiences, setting a new standard for VR gameplay.

Consumer demand for next-generation entertainment is evident. Zero Latency’s research indicates that 94% of thrill-seekers in India prefer VR entertainment over traditional options, underscoring the country’s readiness for widespread adoption of immersive technology.

Zero Latency, already available in over 130 locations across 30 countries, is actively seeking partnerships in India with malls, resorts, entertainment centres, and corporate venues. With the launch of Gen 3 now underway, India is poised to become one of the leading markets for immersive VR gaming in the region.

Zero Latency recently expanded into South America with a new venue in Asunción, Paraguay.
