Europa-Park has reopened several attractions in its Austria-themed area. These were damaged after a fire broke out in a control room at the park last year.
Alpenexpress Enzian, a coaster manufactured by Mack Rides, and Tirol Log Flume, a classic ride, have reopened. Alongside them, Europa-Park has launched a new attraction called 'Yomi Adventure Trail'.
Alpenexpress Enzian has been completely renovated. During the ride, guests travel through Austrian-themed mountains and the new 'Magical Valley of Diamonds' setting at up to 45 km/h.
Additionally, the coaster includes a new virtual reality (VR) experience named 'Fina & the Yomis – Magical World of Diamonds VR', as well as six other VR adventures.
The new Yomi Adventure Trail is described as a high-altitude trail with suspension bridges, climbing elements and two slides. This attraction includes the new 'Gemstone Grotto' shop, which sells jewellery and other gems.
Earlier this year, Europa-Park debuted a new coaster called Voltron Nevera powered by Rimac, a supercharged thrill machine that breaks two world records.
New experiences at Europa-Park
The ride features the steepest launch (105 degrees) and most overhead elements (seven) of any launch coaster in the world. With 1,385 metres of track, it’s also the longest launch coaster in Europe.
“We’re not trying to break as many records as possible. We just want to create a great ride,” saidPatrick Marx, Europa-Park’s head of new development and masterplanning.
