ProSlide details the recipe for the perfect family water park experience

News
Proslide Recipe for family water park webinar

ProSlide Technology Inc., an industry leader in water ride manufacturing and design, recently shared the essential ingredients for a well-designed family water park experience in an exclusive blooloop Innovation Session webinar.

Anastasia Grigoryeva, senior master planner Marie-Catherine Dube, WaterKINGDOM experiential lead and Ray Smegal, chief commercial officer were joined by Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari’s director of revenue administration Lori Gogel.

“We are going to talk about a very important topic that’s truly universal in water parks around the world… families,” began Smegal. “Families have been at the centre of water parks since their inception many decades ago, and they continue to be the core focus of everything that we do at ProSlide. We are excited to talk about some of the angles that we look at when designing the perfect family waterpark experience.”

Research and expertise

The firm has analysed over 200 mature and successful water parks in over 40 countries across all continents. Inventories of each water park were conducted to determine capacity and distribution across different attraction categories, with Grigoryeva sharing the company’s findings in the presentation.

“We do a lot of research and benchmarking to see what kind of general trends we can observe globally and regionally,” shares Grigoryeva.

The executive also provides insight into water park best practices, with ProSlide’s master planning design philosophy being based on years of industry experience and park operators’ feedback.

Inclusive fun

ProSlide also described the three different types of kids’ experiences that parks should contain to captivate and entertain younger guests, with a focus on inclusive design for all ages and abilities.

In the webinar, senior master planner Dube shares how intentional design can further transform a good kid zone into a great one, translating individual features into meaningful play experiences, and presenting examples of sample master plans for ideal ‘kidz zones’.

Proslide Its about the rides

Gogel of Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari, detailed a selection of the destination’s most popular attractions as supplied by ProSlide, ranging from child-friendly spaces to the popular linear induction water coaster Wildebeast.

The most recent thrill installation from ProSlide is Cheetah Chase, a Launched Dueling RocketBLAST/FlyingSAUCER water Coaster, and the twenty-seventh water ride that ProSlide has installed at the Indiana park.
