A new space-themed coaster is also coming to Legoland California

Legoland Florida has revealed the name of its upcoming space-themed indoor coaster, which is called Galacticoaster and opens in early 2026.

The park in Winter Haven has updated its website to show the coaster’s name. The website says, “Families will board their own Lego spacecraft and launch into an interstellar mission packed with thrills, immersive storytelling, and cosmic Lego fun.”

The new coaster is also coming to Legoland California in early 2026, but the West Coast park has not revealed a name yet.

The coaster is set to be the most technologically advanced attraction ever created at Legoland Florida and Legoland California.

It is also the first indoor coaster to be built inside Legoland Florida since the theme park opened in 2011.

At Legoland Florida, guests will blast off from Spaceport 885, named after the original Lego Space Scooter set (#885).

Legoland Florida will also offer the Orbital Outpost retail shop, and a space-themed Duplo soft play zone for young visitors.

The new coasters represent the largest-ever single in-park investment in the history of both Legoland destinations at £70 million.

“After months of anticipation, we’re delighted to confirm details of these immersive, space-themed themed experiences at two of Merlin’s premier resorts globally,” said Fiona Eastwood, CEO of Merlin Entertainments.

“This £70m investment exemplifies our strategy to premiumise our existing portfolio, offering young families even more high-quality attractions, with the captivating storytelling and learning through play that Legoland Resorts are renowned for.”

Eastwood added, “In both locations the boundless creativity of Lego will meet the wonders of space – setting a new standard for fun and imagination, and once again providing guests with a new reason to visit these destination resorts.”
